Kielder Lodges proudly sports our Green Badge, as a park planned and run with the environment in mind. It earns its credentials in the following key areas:
Energy Efficiency – low energy light bulbs are used. Appliances which are energy efficient are used where possible.
Recycling – as well as having recycling units the park segregates the waste. Glass and cardboard is recycled. A Wildlife Trust representative works with the park to create compost heaps etc.
Water Conservation – as a water company environmental issues are at the heart of day-to-day business at Kielder.
Social Practices – where possible new staff are recruited who live within a 15–20 mile radius of the park. Local suppliers are used where possible.
Wildlife – Kielder Lodges holds a David Bellamy Conservation Scheme award. Kielder lodges have shared site ownership with a wildlife trust and are a designated conservation area. There are measures in place to protect wildlife, flora, and fauna.
Purchasing Policy – cleaning products which contain no chemicals are purchased from a local company.

Special Low Initial Deposit Offer Terms and Conditions
1. These terms and conditions should be read in conjunction with the Booking Conditions on our website (particularly the clauses regarding cancellation and payment).
2. This offer applies to any of the 2010 Lodges and Parks holidays on this website booked online for which a deposit payment is due. Payment in full is required for bookings made within 10 weeks of your holiday start date.
3. If you cancel your holiday, you will be responsible for payment of the difference between the £50 low deposit and our standard deposit, together with any insurance premium (if applicable).
4. The cut off date for this low deposit offer is 31 March 2010.
