Excellent holiday, lovely boat with all facilities needed. Very good handover so we knew what we were doing. We didn't want to go home! We really appreciated the heating in the outside area by the steering wheel. I would point out it was a fairly big step up to get off the boat so maybe not suitable for the less agile. Best suited to a couple.

This was our fifth time with Broom, third time on the Cadet, so hopefully that says it all. Great looking boat, only thing we feel they could improve would be the heads which are a bit of a tight squeeze. Staff always really helpful and friendly, would definately recommend and we already have another holiday booked with Broom. We're reluctant to go to another boatyard now as we feel we get good value for money and always have a great time on Broom boats.

We went away the week before Easter which was relatively quiet and had no trouble mooring wherever we chose. The staff at Broom boats were very friendly and efficient. The Cadet was a lovely handling boat and the bow thrusters helped a great deal. We were able to have the roof off for 5 of our 7 days and although it was difficult the first time we got used to removing it. Our only crititism is that it was very difficult to get from the aft cabin onto the side of the boat. Some steps are desperately needed to aid this manoeuvre as a few times we nearly ended up in the water when trying to moor up or just remove the roof. Other than that we would definately recommend the Broom Cadet to any couple wanting a relaxing active holiday. Maybe not if you have difficulty climbing.

Pros - Great attention to detail on this boat, little touches make the difference. Cons - Canopy is time consuming and tricky to put up and down.

This fantastic little boat gave us a superb holiday. When at the wheel the power and responsiveness was brilliant and made mooring both easier and safer. The future is Brooms - Boom!!!!!

A fantastic boat for 2 and certainly turns a few heads. Took us a couple of days to figure out the canopy but once done it a few times it is easy to do. Only negative thing we can say is the toilet/shower room is very cramped and i mean cramped but you manage. Overall a fantastic boat and would highly recommend Broom cadet to any couple.

A boat, configured for 2 people, that has no shore access from the foredeck needs 2 bowlines to dock easiliy; typically found on narrow boats. Anchor warps should be plaited in form to allowt them to stow and run freely;.

A well-designed and well-equipped boat with Broom's superb build quality. Spacious and ideal for two, it attracted admiring looks and comments wherever we went on the Broads. Other lesser hire boats just won't compete so this will spoil you.

We hired the Broom Cadet to see what it was like because we have been considering buying our own boat and this was an opportunity to try one to see how we got on. It is a lovely boat, very well built, high quality - exactly what you'd expect from Broom. But we wouldn't buy one or hire one again. We found it a bit awkward to get on and off, particularly onto the side decks as the step up from the bathing platform was too high to step up 'in one' and there is nothing to hold onto to help (apart from the canopy poles). Traversing around the sides from the stern to bow when underway felt a bit dangerous - we are well seasoned boaters, maybe we're just not as young as we used to be! We found it a bit of a challenge removing and refitting the canopy (partly due to having to balance on the side of the boat) and we had to do this several times when navigating bridges as tides were quite high the week we went. One other positive thing was that the boat didn't look like a hire craft (no obvious boatyard stickers and it had nav lights fitted) so private boat owners didn't treat us as second rate boaters! We noticed another Cadet at the boatyard had additional little steps to make it easier to climb up onto the sides these must be quite a help. But lovely as it was I'm afraid the lovely little Cadet isn't for us, when spending this kind of money it has to be right.

I would go for the captain next time (a little more room in the cabin)
