Great boat for first-timers for 5 days - could not fault the boat or Broom's service. Next time we will book for a week and look at a slightly bigger boat, possibly with dual steering position as we feel the extra height would be good to see further afield, especially in the Southern Broads.

On takeover the boat had a very bad smell and we were told this would go quickly. It did not and we suffered 2 days of hell until we got back to the yard to insist they resolved the problem. It was resolved but there was still an underlying smell. This is not the standard we expected from a Company like Brooms.

This boat is brilliant, dont fight with the canopy, it is your friend and a few minutes practice early on will pay huge dividends throughout the week. In fact the boat is so easy to handle, spend most of the induction time learning how to use it and you will have hours of fun in the sun. The shower, whilst compact was very efficient and refreshing, particularly if you shower at the end of a days cruising. The only disappointment on the whole holiday was generally the standard of food in broads Pubs, if you want carvery and 80's beige fried food then its ok. There is a real need for good Gatropub food. Iam sure there are some better places just not as easy to find.

Marvelous, this for us was something I've always wanted to do, we were not disappointed. Broom Boats are superb, the service, tidy and proffesional.

The Broom Cadet is a lovely sporty looking boat. We were on honeymoon and were very pleased. However the bedded and lounge areas are a little restricted with not much hanging space for clothing, the bed room does not have much ventilation without opening up the escape hatch and as such it did tend to have a musty smell. If you have the sunshine then you can expect a brilliant time, many other boaters looked twice as we cruised by into Beccles areas.

Lovely boat but fly deck meant handling in a gale was not good. Would choose a boat on one level in future. Instructions on board would benefit from being more boat specific. Other than that a very enjoyable holiday.

Boat was lovely. Well prepared, very clean and looked good. Staff at Brooms very friendly ,welcoming and helpful. Parking car at yard was straightforward. Boat had plenty of power and was well equipped. On downside we found the cabin a bit too small . We would have liked more room below deck. If we return we will hire the Broom Captain which has more space. Handling was easy, the bow thruster was pure Magic . The canopy is a bit if a challenge but we soon worked it out. We did lots of hours cruising and were chuffed with the economy. Only 60 litres of fuel in a week. Big thanks to Brooms. Lovely boats which turn heads. Well prepared and very clean. Instruction was good and comprehensive. A good holiday with good weather.

1st class boat. Lovely size for 2 persons poss little cramped for 3. Canopy os a little problem from the rear of the mast it is in runners like caravan awning so not easy to take off. Has to be taken down with the mast.

Excellent holiday, lovely boat with all facilities needed. Very good handover so we knew what we were doing. We didn't want to go home! We really appreciated the heating in the outside area by the steering wheel. I would point out it was a fairly big step up to get off the boat so maybe not suitable for the less agile. Best suited to a couple.

This was our fifth time with Broom, third time on the Cadet, so hopefully that says it all. Great looking boat, only thing we feel they could improve would be the heads which are a bit of a tight squeeze. Staff always really helpful and friendly, would definately recommend and we already have another holiday booked with Broom. We're reluctant to go to another boatyard now as we feel we get good value for money and always have a great time on Broom boats.

We went away the week before Easter which was relatively quiet and had no trouble mooring wherever we chose. The staff at Broom boats were very friendly and efficient. The Cadet was a lovely handling boat and the bow thrusters helped a great deal. We were able to have the roof off for 5 of our 7 days and although it was difficult the first time we got used to removing it. Our only crititism is that it was very difficult to get from the aft cabin onto the side of the boat. Some steps are desperately needed to aid this manoeuvre as a few times we nearly ended up in the water when trying to moor up or just remove the roof. Other than that we would definately recommend the Broom Cadet to any couple wanting a relaxing active holiday. Maybe not if you have difficulty climbing.
