Spent three amazing nights in this beautiful setting. Peaceful, tranquil and great getaway retreat from the hus bub. The cleanest accommodation I have ever stayed in. Lovely lovely setting. Would highly recommend.

We have been here 3 years in a row. So fantastic to get away from al the computers!! Great for fishing, rowing the boat and the big field is a big bonus for the children to run around in. Love the new showers they have put in. I would recommend this to my friend ( and have done)

The site is in a fantastic location, with only 8 cabins. The main road is noisy but not excessively and at night time, quiet. Plenty of room for the children ( 9yrs and 15yrs) to play safely on the grassy areas alongside the cabins with no nearby traffic as it is tucked down away from the road. We loved the rowing boat available to us with the cabin. Food shopping was easy with a local farm shop and supermarket in a nearby small town. We walked, rowed, canoed, motor boated, explored new seaside locations, the broads, canal and its wildlife, Norwich Ancient City and fish and chips! Local beaches are lovely, lots of sand and even seals! The children loved Bewilderwood and so did we!! In all an excellent way to spend a holiday if you want to totally relax.

We we're very disappointed with the overall upkeep of the lodge. On arrival the outside was covered in cobwebs and spiders. Given we booked the lodge at the end of last year and the previous week it was unoccupied we felt the outside could have been cleaned. The inside on first appearance seemed clean, the bathroom was clean but the shower did not drain away properly. The headboard in the double bedroom was not clean and you could see dirty patches on the cover where people's heads had been. The kitchen was well equipped but the net curtains over the sink stank of stale cigarette smoke. The three piece suite was, sorry to say, very dirty and only fit for the tip. The write up states the houseboats are moored along a peaceful riverside and the upper reaches are non-navigable by cruisers. We would totally dispute this, it was not quite at all and there were a substantial amount of boats mooring up opposite the houseboat and up and down the river most of the day and evening. The write up also states you can fish from the river bank - this was not possible due to the amount of growth in the water along the river bank and only one of us was able to fish from the balcony on the house boat. The previous week we had spent touring the broads by water on a six-birth boat from Stalham which was better equipped and cost a great deal less. We realise we could have contacted the managers of the site but this would have meant loosing a couple of days out of our week and we wanted to spend the time exploring the area. Needless to say we we're extremely disappointed. P & J

The five of us had a wonderful holiday. Although the furniture was rather tired the house boat was placed just right. Convenient in position. The site was well looked after and Shane was very helpful on the saturday we arrived. Thank you.

We had a great time on the houseboat. Ours was really clean and well laid out with everything we needed. We took fishing rods and against expectations caught quite a few fish. The rowing boat was fun and our two boys loved going out in it. The pub which is really close had good food and a great kids playground. Just under the bridge was a day boat hire place which did motor day boats and canoes, again really handy. The only slight negative for us is that it is quite close to a busy road but we live somewhere with no road noise so I guess we noticed it more than many would.

We stayed here for a mini break, it was a lovely place on the river and so calming although a little noisy with the main road, but evenings were quieter. The furniture is a little bit tatty so could do with a spruce, but comfortable, the lodge itself is really nice and modern, and is like a home from home, all essentials are provided.. And a nice touch is the row boat at the side which you can use to go out for the day on the river, though the verges to get onto the boats is a little unsteady so you may go for a swim, but its good fun and i would recommend this break to anyone, we loved it so much we've already booked to return, great holiday.

As a family with 2 young boys, it is probably the most perfect short break that we have taken to date. We loved the row boat, we loved the location. We have done a boating holiday in the past and the boys got cabin fever - but here, we had the best of both worlds. Truly wonderful!

A quiet and beautiful setting but with lots to do nearby. A warm welcome and a well equipped boat with the added bonus of a row dinghy made this the best family holiday we have ever had.

The houseboat is charming but only suitable for four people rather than 6. Local Marco Pierre White pub restaurant was very enjoyable. Only downside was noise when high winds with houseboat hitting side of riverbank. Also poor mobile network but manageable. Overall a nice experience of being afloat withour having to navigate the river.

Great location within the Broads, on a really lovely, quiet river. Houseboat was great value and we loved the rowing boat that came with it. My son loved being able to fish off the balcony. Will definately go again. Houseboat, furniture and fittings well used and a bit tired, but clean, tidy and everything worked. Great holiday!
