UK Cottages: £30 Low Deposit for 2015 bookings

These terms and conditions should be read with the Booking Conditions and insurance information in our brochures or on our website. Especially note Sections 2, 4 and 7 of the Booking Conditions.

  • Offer applies only to bookings for 2015 which are booked before 20th April 2015.
  • The low deposit payable under this offer is £30.
  • Does not apply to properties that sleep 10 or more.
  • The difference between the £30 low deposit and the usual deposit shown in our main brochure or website is payable with the balance payment, which we must receive no later than 8 weeks before your booking starts, or at the time of cancellation if you cancel your booking. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately.

Quarry Cottage is a cosy holiday home set in the pretty waterside village of Flushing, which overlooks the busy port and harbour of Falmouth. It is a comfortable three-storey terraced property with wooden floors, and has a sunlit top floor which makes a relaxing sunny spot in which to read and unwind, or you can relax with a drink in the enclosed, sunny rear patio. The cottage lies a minute’s walk from the waterfront, harbour, pub, shop and just ½ mile from the beach. There are delightful walks along the coastal path round to the bustling harbour at Mylor which has an ancient church, popular restaurant/bistro and café where you can dine al fresco and watch the marine activity. Take the small ferry from Flushing to Falmouth with its choice of sandy beaches, shops, restaurants, galleries and the famous Maritime Museum located in Events Square providing activities throughout the year. Falmouth hosts numerous high profile events all year round including international yachting and sailing activities. The area is ideal for exploring on land or the extensive waterways. Take one of many small ferry trips (including the Flushing to Falmouth ferry) or cruise down the picturesque Helford River to visit creeks made famous by Daphne du Maurier Frenchman’s Creek. Head up river to the cathedral city of Truro, with its theatre, cinema and range of shops and restaurants or take the short hop across to St Mawes to visit St Mawes Castle, the twin to Pendennis Castle, both built by Henry VIII to protect the waters around the Carrick Roads. The area has some of Cornwall’s most beautiful gardens including Trebah, Glendurgan and Trelissike, and attracts walkers, sailing enthusiast (sailing school, 2 miles), golfers, wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. Water sports activities are also close by. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
