Perfect for family holidays all year round, Bealy Court offers a large indoor swimming pool, an LTA standard tennis court, croquet lawn, games room with wi-fi, full size snooker table, pool table and air hockey, and two coarse fishing lakes (visitors will need to bring their own rods). The setting is secluded and tranquil, the lovely stone cottages – formerly a range of barns cluster around a very pretty, landscaped courtyard with glorious views to the distant hills of Dartmoor.
The cottages have been stylishly converted to create a wonderfully contemporary feel. Each cottage boasts a high degree of individual character, with original features such as oak roof timbers, stone walls and beams all carefully preserved. All of them enjoy elegant décor, wood burning stoves and flat screen LCD or plasma TVs. The roundhouse is particularly unique, offering round, beamed single storey accommodation with a contemporary feel.
Bealy Court is an ideal touring base, with the wilds of Exmoor and Dartmoor close by and the golden beaches of the North Devon coast a comfortable drive away. Tiverton, sea fishing at Ilfracombe, and go-karting, ten pin bowling and cycle hire at Barnstaple are all easily accessible, as are Knightshayes Court and Killerton (both National Trust Properties).
Horse riding is found locally and Chulmleigh, 4 miles, offers good pubs and restaurants, several shops, a post office and a par 3 golf course. The nearest main shopping centres are at Barnstaple and South Molton, which is also a renowned centre for antiques.

Within easy driving distance are the award winning Beamish Open Air Museum, Hexham, a historic town with a Saxon abbey and ancient marketplace; the market town of Barnard Castle with its 12th century castle; and medieval Raby Castle with its 200 acre deer park. This corner of the country includes some of the highest, wildest and most beautiful scenery in England – an absolute delight for bird watchers, walkers and cyclists (cycle hire is available locally). Nearby, Hamsterley Forest provides miles of lovely forest and riverside walks, and, adjacent to one of the most attractive sections of the Pennine Way, woodland walks lead to High Force, England’s largest waterfall. The uncrowded roads provide superb touring, and Kielder Forest, the Scottish borders, the Northumbrian coast and the Lake District are all easily accessible. This row of three cottages offer lovely holiday accommodation, and each boasts their own enclosed garden with views of the countryside, patio and hot tub. Internally, they are delightfully designed, beautifully furnished, decorated and presented holiday homes. Set very close to the River Steeping, at the edge of the owners’ 80-acre arable farm where visitors are free to explore, there is the bonus of free river fishing (license required). On the fringe of Wainfleet All Saints and within 0.25 miles level stroll, is a famous brewery which offers tours, an on-site pub and bistro. Wainfleet is a quaint market town with shops, pubs, restaurant and a railway station. Skegness, 5 miles, has a lovely sandy beach and family entertainment, including the Fantasy Island theme park. Gunby Hall is 7 miles and Tattershall Castle is 15 miles (both NT). Visit bird and seal sanctuaries on the coast. Medieval Lincoln with its famous castle and cathedral is 40 miles across the scenic, rolling Linconshire Wolds countryside. Shop, pub and restaurant 0.25 miles.

Set in the gently undulating foothills of Bodmin Moor, Rosecraddoc Manor boasts a history that dates back to the Domesday Book. Rebuilt in the 1820s it is Grade II listed, together with the two bridges in the grounds – one of which forms part of the entrance drive. The manor house and coach house have been converted into apartments, all furnished and equipped to a very high standard, with many luxurious touches that will appeal to the most discerning of visitors. Access to the front door of the Manor is by 3 stone steps. Some of the accommodation features four poster beds and some offer spa baths. All accommodation boasts the benefit of a sauna.
Heron is a first floor studio-style apartment, whilst Riverview and Riverbank enjoy a secluded position on the banks of the small cascading river, with pretty aspects across the river and parkland towards the lake – these two cottages include special features to make them suitable for wheelchair users.
Lakeview stands about 75 yards from the manor, in an enviable position overlooking the fishing lake, and enjoys particularly beautiful views from its first floor living room and large balcony.
Rosecraddoc Manor is surrounded by 35 acres of natural gardens and bluebell woods that beckon to you to stroll along its footpaths. The lake is well stocked for coarse fishing, with carp, roach and bream, and the all weather tennis court can be enjoyed April – October. There are several pubs locally, and a leisurely stroll to the foot of the drive and across the road leads to a licensed bar ‘The Village Inn’ which offers an extensive menu including children’s meals, barbecues and live entertainment regularly during the high season. It also has a large screen TV, pool room and children’s games making it an ideal venue for all the family.
Looe, with its many attractions is just 8 miles away whilst historic Plymouth with its city attractions and the Eden Project are both about 20 miles. Shop 1.5 miles.
