A truly unspoilt rural landscape, less than a mile from the pretty village of Wood Norton, is the peaceful setting for these fine holiday cottages. Lovingly created from handsome barns on the owners’ farm, and boasting spacious, stylish interiors, they stand at right angles to each other around a courtyard. Each cottage boasts its own patio for sitting out and shared use of a tennis court and a play area. Wonderful days out are an easy drive away – along the glorious North Norfolk Coast, visitors can discover picturesque fishing villages with excellent pubs and restaurants (many serving the locally caught seafood), seal watching boat trips and sailing, or enjoy the gentle walking along the Peddars Way and coastal path, taking in bird reserves and miles of dune backed, sandy beaches on the way. Cromer offers traditional seaside amusements as does Sheringham, from where a steam train runs regularly to the charming Georgian town of Holt. Thursford’s steam museum, 500 acres of nature reserve, lakes and gardens at Pensthorpe, and the Norfolk Wildlife Centre are all within a short drive. Boats can be hired to explore the beautiful reed lined waterways of the Broads, and the medieval city of Norwich is easily accessible. Fakenham, with an excellent weekly market, is 7 miles away. Village shop and a pub serving food 2 miles.

Set in the gently undulating foothills of Bodmin Moor, Rosecraddoc Manor boasts a history that dates back to the Domesday Book. Rebuilt in the 1820s it is Grade II listed, together with the two bridges in the grounds – one of which forms part of the entrance drive. The manor house and coach house have been converted into apartments, all furnished and equipped to a very high standard, with many luxurious touches that will appeal to the most discerning of visitors. Access to the front door of the Manor is by 3 stone steps. Some of the accommodation features four poster beds and some offer spa baths. All accommodation boasts the benefit of a sauna.
Heron is a first floor studio-style apartment, whilst Riverview and Riverbank enjoy a secluded position on the banks of the small cascading river, with pretty aspects across the river and parkland towards the lake – these two cottages include special features to make them suitable for wheelchair users.
Lakeview stands about 75 yards from the manor, in an enviable position overlooking the fishing lake, and enjoys particularly beautiful views from its first floor living room and large balcony.
Rosecraddoc Manor is surrounded by 35 acres of natural gardens and bluebell woods that beckon to you to stroll along its footpaths. The lake is well stocked for coarse fishing, with carp, roach and bream, and the all weather tennis court can be enjoyed April – October. There are several pubs locally, and a leisurely stroll to the foot of the drive and across the road leads to a licensed bar ‘The Village Inn’ which offers an extensive menu including children’s meals, barbecues and live entertainment regularly during the high season. It also has a large screen TV, pool room and children’s games making it an ideal venue for all the family.
Looe, with its many attractions is just 8 miles away whilst historic Plymouth with its city attractions and the Eden Project are both about 20 miles. Shop 1.5 miles.
