great place to stay clean and tidy great views The one thing that would have made it a 10 would have been wifi the techies in the group started to have withdrawal symptoms fortunately the pub down the road had it so wasnt too much of a big deal.

Excellent cottage with beautiful views and plenty of toilets! Great to have a parking space too.
Supplies were a bit low - too few towels and loo rolls. Nothing but a (welcome) bottle of fresh milk in the kitchen, no kitchen roll, sugar, foil or other store cupboard things - and no dishwasher tablets or washing up liquid. Despite this a truly lovely holiday and I would book it again like a shot - money permitting!

The location is amazing... but unfortunately the cottage was dirty and clearly not cleaned.
It smelt of old cigarette smoke. The beds were made but with ill fitting sheets and loosely thrown on the beds.
There was no complimentary tea n coffee available.... which is often just a nice touch. No wi-fi available.

Stayed there for 2 weeks in August. Property was in a stunning location. Downside to this was having to get there up a cobbled narrow street which at times was heavily pedestrianised. Parking was tight. We had a 7 seater which once parked was ok. If you have friendly neighbours this wasn't a problem. House itself suited family for all ages ours ranged from 10-75. Only small criticism was felt that the house could do with freshening up. Owners/agents very helpful and quick to respond to minor issue we had with a lock. Would recommend anyone to stay there.

Really good cottage in an unbeatable Whitby location. Some small improvements could make this cottage really excellent.
There was no information at all in the cottage for guidance I.e. Housekeeping info such as bin days, key arrangements, parking info or what to do in an emergency etc...., nor any information about the local area. The house needs a really deep clean, the sofas in particular are really grubby, and the bedding needs a more thorough clean there were lots of hairs on the bedspreads. The towels were also of variable age and quality. The cutlery, glasses and china were also really basic rather than feeling luxurious. The parking was incredibly tight and I feel this should have been explained more fully - we nearly didn't get out!
We had a lovely stay but some upgrades would really help.

Enjoying an unrivalled position and stunning views over the sea, harbour entrance and beach, these award-winning cottages lie at the very eastern edge of Whitby yet only a 300-yard walk down cobbled streets to the harbour bridge. Sensitively rebuilt from a former old smoke house they offer well designed spacious interiors, double glazing and cosy heating. An ideal location whatever the season – in summer, for the beach just 100 yards from the door, and in winter, for the exhilarating drama of crashing waves and spectacular views. A traditional fishing town with a maritime heritage, Whitby boasts the Captain Cook Museum, craft and antique shops, galleries, jewellers selling the famous Whitby Jet, tea rooms, gourmet fish restaurants, pubs galore and a host of other attractions. Extensive walking can be enjoyed locally on the Cleveland Way cliffs top paths or surrounding moorlands whose pretty villages are also a delight to explore.
