Tremaine, nr. Launceston, Cornwall
These two detached, pine lodges are situated on a 14-acre, private equestrian centre that saves and cares for horses and ponies. The friendly owners live on site and are extremely welcoming. These holiday properties are ideal for couples with young children as there is an outdoor play area and an indoor games room, and children will love collecting the eggs from the free range hens, ducks and geese that live outside your door. There are two lovely fishing lakes on-site with fishing equipment available, or you can bring your own rods and gear. The superb north Cornish coastline is just 10 miles away, with the popular surfing beaches of Widemouth and Crackington Haven, and the town of Bude with its lovely sandy beach. The quaint and historic fishing villages of Port Isaac (Dr Martin TV series), Boscastle and Tintagel are all a short drive away. Shop and pub 4.5 miles.
