Consisting of no less than 12 separate geographical areas, the Cornish Coast AONB covers a good proportion of the county’s extensive coastline. To the north there are rolling dunes and high cliffs, as well as the mysterious Tintagel, , dramatic St. Agnes’ Head and the foodie town of Padstow. To the south the landscape is gentler, and the coastline is dotted with tiny coves and picturesque villages like St Mawes and Mevagissey. To the West the scenery becomes wilder and more wonderful. The windswept Lizard Peninsula offers dramatic views and no visit to the area would be complete without a trip to Land’s End, England’s most westerly point. With such a wide variety of things to see and do, it’s no wonder this is such a popular holiday destination.
