Skirting the resorts of Lyme Regis, Exmouth, Sidmouth and Seaton, the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty offers breathtaking cliffs as well as many superb beaches that have long been popular with holidaymakers. It also includes a section of the “Jurassic Coast” an amazing geological feature that is also a haunt for wildlife of all types. Inland, it remains unspoilt, a landscape of rich farmland and, higher up, of wild heathland. As you would expect from a major tourist destination, there are many family attractions to enjoy. The area is also popular with walkers, drawn to the section of the South West Coastal Path that runs along the top of the cliffs here as well as the delights of the Undercliffs National Nature Reserve.
