We had a wonderful week, really enjoyed riding the trains. This was our second visit we will definitely book again.

Lovely location with great views of the river Dee, Chainbridge and of course the Llangollen steam railway. The property is well equipped, comfortable and the bottle of wine waiting for us on the kitchen table was a lovely surprise. Would recommend to anyone whether interested in steam engines or not. The complementary tickets for unlimited travel on the railway were also very well used!

This is a beautiful setting for a holiday, the cottage is wonderful but remember it is old building with steep stairs over three floors. We have stayed here a number of times, in all weathers and had a lovely time.

Excellent place to stay. The house was clean and well equipped. Perfect location and the staff on the station/train were lovely too.

our second visit lovely comfortable accommodation, very clean, well positioned right on station with views over the river to chainbridge hotel. The free rail travel is a bonus, the back bedroom quiet but found it harder to sleep at front due to traffic noise. Well worth a visit.

Dirty with boxes shoved in cupboards. Oven disgusting and full of grease which I had to clean. A5 right outside bedroom window so for light sleepers no sleep. For the money it's not worth it

We had a fantastic week, the property was clean, but a few areas might benefit from a deep clean and some equipment in the kitchen needs replacing. Overall loved it and have happily booked again

We had a lovely holiday and the steam train coming right past the window was great to see. Tickets being included are a nice touch. Kitchen could be a bit better equipped, larger fridge and a teapot. 2 of the bedrooms do get some noise from the passing lorries which do start quite early. Quite tight fitting more than a small car in the parking area. There is lots to do in the locality and can certainly recommend the house as a novel sort of base.

Great interesting location, good scenery, opportunities for varied dog walking excursions. Superb pubs within driving distance and of course the railway who's staff are very friendly. You do not need for anything else. This is our third visit and we hope to be back many more times. David & Ann G

Berwyn Stationmaster's House is a lovely building located in a wonderful area. The views of the River Dee and its valley are spectacular. The house is very comfortable and warm. The bedrooms are small and cosy with adequate storage space. The bathrooms were clean and were supplied with towels. The kitchen is fine but could do with some new equipment. For instance, there are no longer enough mugs, glasses and placemats for six. Some lights are no longer working either: bedside lamp, kitchen pelmet light, and electric log burner (off for a year now). Nothing serious, but fixing these things would just make it feel better. Overall, we really enjoyed being there, though.

We were looking for something slightly different, and we found it here - an amazing house, right on the platform. Beautifully laid out, with all the facilities needed (including fast wi-fi). Only complication was the lack of trains (our half term didn't match the Welsh half term calendar). Highly recommended - if you have kids (or even if you don't) you'll love it.

A lovely well presnted house in an exceptional location and that is even without any trains. A couple of chipped mugs could do with replacing. Double bed mattress is coming to the end of its life. House was clean, warm and comfortable.

What can I say - my 4th visit and it's still bloody brilliant! Each visit has been with different couples / families, and they've all loved it, even though I'm the only railway enthusiast! The only problem would be if you are disabled - it's not really disabled-friendly.

This house is lovely with ideal location and excellent views. Very comfortable. Just one thing let it down, the kitchen. Chipped mugs, plates which did not fit in the cupboard. The pans in the oven need replacing. Please pay more attention to cleaning the oven.
