I love these cottages they are in the perfect location and it is so quiet and peaceful with plenty of wildlife around and a daily visit from the geese. My dog enjoys this place too especially when she gets to meet so many new doggie friends in the adjoining cottage and gets to run around in the shared garden playing together. Its a great idea to have such a big shared garden with lots of room for dogs to wander around and as long as owners are mindful and pick up after their four legged friends then everyone should have an enjoyable stay. In my opinion the gardens are fine as they are and DO NOT need to be separated. I have stayed in both of these cottages for the last three years now and have had no problems whatsoever. I would highly recommend both of these cottages for peace, quiet and lots of walks with your best friends in tow.

We had a lovely stay at Blackberie Cottage. The cottage exactly suited our needs, quiet, clean and comfortable in the countryside with plenty of walks from the door! We would definitely come back again to the same place.

The Cottage is in a very peaceful and tranquil setting, restful and relaxing with everything needed provided apart from food and toiletries. Dog friendly and lived in meaning that our dogs were welcomed and comfortable too.

Beautiful, peaceful location. An idyll, complete with 11th century church, geese, roses and greenery. This is England as it once was.

We had a wonderful time. Quiet and peaceful. Dog loved the woods and open fields. Lots of birds to watch. Village was quiet but there was plenty to do and see in the area. The owner was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend if you like wildlife and watching the stars. Looking forward to going back.

We stayed there, including our 3 shiz-tsu's, from 20th may till 27th, the cottage was lovely, in a gorgeous location. The wildlife and surrounding area were magnificent, so tranquil and noise free. The downside for us was the lack of fencing between the 2 cottages. We cannot understand this as it was advertised as a secure garden, which one would expect to be fenced off, so adults and perhaps 6 dogs would each have a secure and private space to enjoy. Fortunately for us, we were so lucky to have lovely neighbours, who were so obliging and understanding about both parties using the garden, this could have been a very dangerous situation, depending on the breed and size of the dog/s next door, thus avoiding a very stressful situation for all dogs and owners. We would love to return to the Cottage BUT the issue of the FENCE will prevent this, as we will not put our dogs safety at risk.

Wonderful setting, wonderful surroundings. We have never seen such a magnificent coast line just 350 km from Dover. We did some nice walks. Good pub in the village. Voor de Nederlanders: de beste kennismaking met het Engelse landschap, de kust en het publeven!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage location is very picturesque and the cottage has everything you need for a quiet time away from the chaos of normal life. The bathroom could do with some improvements - quite a lot of mould but other than that it was awesome! Thanks

A great place to stay with dogs, although the lack of separation from the neighbouring cottage garden would have been a problem if someone had been staying next door. The free access across the farm fields allowed good morning walks before setting off for the day to explore the rest of the Dorset countryside and coast. Holidaymakers should be aware though that there is NO internet access and very little mobile signal. The cottage was generally very well equipped and comfortable but the twin beds are really designed for children rather than adults as the mattresses were not comfortable.
