The cottage was in a perfect location and came with parking. We found the footage to be very well equipped, fantastic value. My only criticism is, i was sent directions to the wrong cottage and bluebell does not have a name on the door.

The cottage was lovely . The wi fi was not very good at all . The local pubs were very expensive for food. Went into Seahouses to eat out. Apart from those minor things we really enjoyed our stay .

We enjoyed staying in Bluebell. A number of minor issues, that if addressed, would have improved the experience. The radiator in the lounge could not be turned off - so despite it being 27 degrees outside, the radiator was on full for three hours in the evening (making it uncomfortably hot) and two hours in the morning. We asked for this to be sorted - we were told it would be looked into - it was not resolved. There was only a back door key - no front door. So you could go out of the front - but not come in that way. It would also have been useful to know that Bluebell is number one and had a horse head on the back door - no name plate !!! Would have avoided the confusion of trying to locate the property on arrival.

Would I recommend Blubell Cottage to holidaymakers ? Yes with reservations. Bluebell cottage is in a row of terrace cottages fronting an attractive gravel courtyard with ample offroad parking. Go out the back door and within 50 yds are a restaurant (meals vastly overpriced) and a good pub serving traditional pub grub at a reasonable price. Inside ground floor incorporates a well equiped kitchen, a dining and a lounge area which has 2 enormous leather settees , a 40 in. flat screen TV. Also an ancient CD player(not necessary) Lighting is modern, and during our stay the central heating worked efficiently. Upstairs is mainly where the problems start. Why in the name of all that's Holy don't the owners/agents spend a couple of hundred quid putting things right. One example - in the twin bedroom the filthy curtains covering the filthy window were held in place by SINK PLUG CHAINS (plugs still attached) How bizarre is that! The bedside lamps were either broken or frankly dangerous. The main bedroom has an ancient coal fired 10in. TV, video cassette player (get rid of it) Bedrooms are small, and nothing can be done about that, but all the more reason to as attractive as possible. Upstairs also has a large modern tiled bath/ wet room with shower , hot water was plentiful. So! Very much the Curate's Egg - good in parts. My wife and myself (both in our late seventy's) stayed in Bluebell cottage from1st. to 8th. October 2016.and I would endorse the suggestion of a previous reviewer about bringing a fan heater. After all, if you have to pay this ridiculous £15 for heating you might have value for money. I would go back!

With a bit of TLC the cottage would be lovely, broken light in double room, short on saucepans and recliner also broken. Adequate space down, both bedrooms small but large shower room. Great location. Had a great week though!
