The cottage was ideal for a family holiday and we had a great week visiting nearby National Trust properties and we had a nice day at Chester. The owners were very welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed.

Brook House Farm Cottage is a lovely, spacious and comfortable home. We were a party of 4 adults and 1 child although 2 more adults were to have joined us but unfortunately could not make it. Even if they had we would still have had plenty of room. We had a very enjoyable week after a warm welcome from the owner. We were even left a box of chocolates for the adults and an Easter egg for my 4 year old grandson which was a really kind thought. The garden was enjoyed by all and we particularly loved watching the wide variety of birds and squirrels visiting the bird feeder. We found some interesting small towns and villages to visit and good walks along the nearby canal and in Delamere forest where my grandson had fun building dens and following the Gruffalo trail. We also spent a very enjoyable afternoon at the Anderton lift visitor centre. I would definitely recommend this cottage.

We had the most enjoyable stay at Brook House Farm Cottage. The owners were so warm and welcoming, a really beautiful couple who run their own dairy farm in the fields that surround the cottage. It was actually a delight that we got to see the tractors in action in the fields beyond on one occasion, from the upstairs bedroom windows. Our boys, aged 11 and 8 just loved it!!!
The cottage is completely detached with a beautiful and very large garden space to enjoy. Totally secluded and private.
The house itself is just amazing, very clean, very well presented.
Four very large bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs.
Downstairs has a large entrance hall with a fireplace, the kitchen is very modern, spacious and has a lovely dining area. The lounge area is incredibly spacious with a log burning fire which we didn’t use as it was the summer... also access to a patio through the French doors.
The dining room was the best!!! A huge table that hosted 8 at the very least but we managed 20 very easily when we hosted a family gathering!!!
We live in Aus with Cheshire family and we finished with 11 nights in this amazing house after 3 months of travel. It was absolutely the perfect place to be. We wish we had found it sooner...
Thank you so much to the owners and we very much hope to stay again!!!

Looking for a large house to accommodate 7 people off and on during the week before our nephew's wedding, I was blessed to discover Brook House Farm Cottage. As soon as we walked in, it welcomed us, as did the owners and their daughter and son-in-law, with whom we had several heart to hearts about the state of farming and how to diversify!
Comfort: my sister has gone home to buy a new mattress for her bed because the cottage one she had was so comfortable. Two days in, she stripped the bed to find out the make!
Location: Only problem we found was getting out of the drive onto the road, which was part of a diversion while we were there - perhaps a mirror is needed. We didn't travel around looking for many tourist activities but enjoyed canal walks, watching the locks being used and climbing up to the view from Beeston Castle.
Close enough to Manchester Airport for our daughter to fly from Germany, to join us and the wedding for 30 hours.
Cleanliness: Couldn't fault it. Spiders will make webs all week in old buildings but there were none when we arrived.
Local amenities: Discovered The Badger at Church Minshull after Sunday's service, so ate there most of the week because of a good and varied menu. Fresh food came from the local Farm Shop and garden nursery. Great local bakery.
Value for money: Whoever puts that at 10? ;) but it certainly was cheaper than putting all of us up at a hotel for the week!

The cottage was everything we wanted and more than expected, very comfortable and well equipped. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The cottage is ideally located for exploring Cheshire but also within easy reach of North Wales and the Peak District, we ventured as far as Betws- y- Coed and Bakewell.
The local pub (The Badger, on recommendation of the owners) provided good local ales and food, well worth a visit.
We do not have any hesitation in recommending this cottage and hope to visit again next year.
