Beaches for relaxing on and surfing at are to found at Westward Ho!, Saunton Sands, Woolacombe and Croyde Bay, all of which are within easy reach, as is Bude, the coastal pathways around Hartland Point and the market town of Bideford with boat trips to Lundy, England’s only marine nature reserve. To the north lies Exmoor National Park: a beautiful setting for the resorts of Lynton and Lynmouth, with its wild landscapes and stunning coastline. Family attractions such as Big Sheep and Milky Way, RHS Rosemoor and Atlantic Village shopping outlet are nearby; to the south lies the rugged Dartmoor National Park. Eden Project, 1 hour’s drive.
