• About Campbell

Discover these cosy holiday cottages with commanding panoramic views over Loch Rannoch, and surrounded by magnificent scenery on Liarn Farm. Skilfully converted from a former steading to take full advantage of the superb views – each enjoys a first floor living room with balcony – they stand on a working livestock farm. This is indeed the perfect location in which to relax and unwind – visitors may roam freely in the farm’s spacious grounds, and 11.5 miles of loch frontage make a wonderful spot for picnics as well as for fishing. Children will love the pets’ corner, and can help the owner feed the Shetland ponies, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks and Jacob sheep, each day at 10am. Walkers and cyclists can all revel in the breathtaking scenery and bird watching is a popular activity in the area. A trip to the lively little town of Pitlochry (26 miles) could take in the Festival Theatre and famous Fish Ladder, which is negotiated by thousands of salmon each year. Host to the Highland Games, Pitlochry also boasts interesting shopping, good restaurants and golf. Historic Blair Castle (20 miles) is among the attractions within easy reach. Shop, pub and restaurant 6 miles.

Lovely Cottage in great surroundings. The owners made us feel very welcome and the kids loved feeding the animals in the mornings. Slightly caught out by the unadvertised extras: Towels are not supplied as standard, not sure whether we would have been charged to borrow them if we hadn't had ones with us. Electricity is charged by meter readings. As the weather was slightly nippy in September, we put the storage heaters on. This cost us an extra £5 per day. How much extra this would equate to in winter don't know. 'Washing Machine Provided' It doesn't say that there is another additional charge. As part of the overall cost of the holiday these didn't add that much, but came as a bit of a surprise.

Great cottage on lovely small working farm; our 4 year old son loved feeding the animals - fantastic experience for him; Louise & Brian were very friendly and helpful; oh and my dad loved the home made marmalade! We had a lovely stay.
