Birch Tree (ref E5642) is a stunning two-storey lodge tucked away within a small cluster of lodges at the end of a no-through road overlooking the lakes. Nature trails meander through the 40 acres of meadows and woodlands, and superb fishing with seven well-stocked fishing lakes, which include four carp, two tench and one mixed with tench, roach, bream, carp and dace (open all year). They are surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and magnificent scenery, and just 2 miles to Halwill Junction with its post office, shop and village inn. The pretty market towns of Hatherleigh and Holsworthy are under a 15-minute drive away and Bude’s superb sandy beaches with excellent surfing, along with breathtaking coastal walking is just 17 miles. Golf and horse riding are close by at Holsworthy and Bude. Dartmoor National Park is a must for nature lovers and the nearby Tarka Trail is a must for walkers and cyclists.
