Really enjoyed our stay. The setting is absolutely stunning - frequently herds of deer walking past the floor to ceiling windows in the upside down cottage. The only criticism we had were the sofas were a little uncomfortable - need replacing? But on a positive - the beds were the comfiest weve slept in whilst away. Would definitely recommend if you want to get away from it all with no broadband and intermittent phone signal which in this day and age is quite a blessing!

Simply surreal! 1000 acres, 800 Deer and us 2 ! So many words could describe this ... idyllic, tranquil, beautiful, unique, and so may more. To have Deer within touching distance just outside the window is unmatched. A joy and a privilege to stay here and to learn about how it came to be. First stay, but not our last stay. We would highly recommend this - go listen to nature instead of traffic !

If you like isolation then this is the place for you. Situated a mile from the road into a private estate that has a thousand deer that wander passed the windows of your accommodation. If you like peace and quiet then you'll be in your element. The property is an upside down place with the lounge upstairs with picture windows overlooking the estate (and the deer). You can walk across the fields to the local pub (very expensive on food) but an excellent pub with super food in nearby Banningham. Heating a bit hit and miss with night storage heaters. We only used one bedroom but the heater did not work in the other. No problem in warm weather but could be less comfortable in cooler conditions. No wifi and mobile a bit iffi (O2 and EE)
