To the west of the cottages lie the wild natural beauty and great walking opportunities of the Northumberland National Park, whilst to the east the glorious Heritage coastline features Holy Island and Bamburgh’s long sandy beach and imposing castle (19 miles). Just 6 miles away is Berwick-upon-Tweed, with its Elizabethan walls, museum, theatre, interesting shops, cafes, restaurants and station for the 45 minute train journey to Edinburgh or Newcastle.
