A spacious house, well equipped and ideal for a big family and dogs. Large garden, fully enclosed with a couple of horses in the field next door. Woods nearby for walking and the lovely coastal village of Orford only 3 miles away.

Field cottage is at the end of a dirt drive on the edge of Tunstall Forest. The cottage is ideal for a quiet retreat. Each room was spacious. We were only two adults and one teenager so we had a bedroom each and shared the bathroom. The lounge is light and comfortable, with great TV and DVD player and good wifi. The wifi works best in the lounge and the single bedroom. I usually had no signal (O2) at all and very occasionally a text came through, but I couldn't make any calls out. There are selections of books and games which is great although as the weather was nice we didn't use them. The garden is enclosed so ideal for a dog and Lucy loved it on first sight! Walks a plenty just down the drive to the Forest. Some updating is needed, however it does not deter from giving a homely feel. The landlady was very helpful when we couldn't find how to light the cooker and had a problem with the kettle. She also kindly came to open the door, when we got stuck. I would return! Thank you!

Needs To have some care and attention. Spoilt by poor mattress on one double bed , lack of blind in downstairs wc, a weird door repair between kitchen and dining room (really? Repairing an old rustic door with a foot wide piece of chipboard???). The location was its saving grace, quiet, beautiful peaceful. It made me sad as the cottage deserved better quality care (and furniture the Ikea beds and sofas ....beds had those bars you lose the pillows through, chairs & sofas not easy to get out) The notes were everywhere: don't water the plant, don't wear outdoor shoes...the macerating toilet had an essay next to it. That just didn't make one feel welcome, nor did the bleeping of the ? Stable alarms every time you went in or out. I really wanted to love this but their were too many niggles that affected the family.

The location was perfect great for walks and within easy driving reach of other beauty spots. The cottage was extremely dated and the beds were uncomfortable to say the least. We met the owner and she was very friendly. If this cottage was brought up to date it would have been worth the money. The bathroom had broken tiles and had not been replaced. Crockery should have been thrown if there's cracks or chips but they were not. We loved the area though and had lovely family time together.
