Lovely cottage spotlessly clean. Warm and cosy, lovely quality bedding. Only 15 minutes to Alton Towers and close to stunning scenery of Peak District.

A lovely clean cottage with good sized lounge and well equipped kitchen, had everything you needed, with the added bonus of being able to take the dogs. Plenty of places to walk and visit. Local pub a few minutes down the road serving lunch and dinner. Would recommend it.

Beautifully renovated cottage with everything needed for a very comfortable stay. We had a warm welcome from Mike, the owner and he made sure we had no problems.

We found garden cottage a relaxing place to stay and very comfortable. However no mention was made at time of booking that the local pub was in fact closed for refurbishment, which meant driving into Leek each evening. Also we felt that the 15 pound charge for heating for a 3 day break a bit excessive. Usually with rental properties heating and electricity is already included in the overall cost.

There were plenty of attractions nearby to suit families including caverns, National Trust, countryside, English Heritage and interesting towns and cities. We were busy most days and the cottage was well placed so that most visits didn't take too long, but even the journeys in the car weren't too bad with such spectacular landscape to drive through. The cottage was well equipped, comfortable and well-maintained.

We had a lovely stay in Garden Cottage, the owner could not have been more helpful and the cottage was lovely. Well kitted out, comfortable and nice and warm. It is in a fantastic location for exploring the White Peak and the Staffordshire Moors. I would stay here again as there is so much to explore and the cottage is very good.

We had a great long weekend staying at Garden cottage. The owner was very friendly and accomodating and wanted to do all he could to make sure we had a great stay. Local pub 50m down the road with real ale and regional cider was a real bonus.

Although situated on a busy road the hamlet of Onecote is very pleasant and is an ideal stepping off point for visiting the surrounding countryside. The cottage itself has been fully renovated with very efficient central heating, required in the winter months, and tasteful decoration making it feel very homely. The small but adequate garden is a lovely touch. I was able to stand outside every morning and watch the sunrise over the hamlet and the surrounding hills. There are local walks for the dogs who are welcome in the pub. They even get their own bowl of water. The pub was not busy during the week I was there but the food was first class and prepared personally by the landlord.
