The charming market towns of Beccles and Bungay (both 4 miles) offer good shopping (lots of vintage) and restaurants, and RSPB Minsmere, great fish and chips on Dunwich beach, Southwold’s shops, galleries, summer theatre and restored pier, and the cathedral and castle in medieval Norwich are all an easy drive.
