    Coming from France (Paris) we enjoyed our stay in Grange Road cottage in August 2017. We were really well received by the owners. The location is really quiet, in the open countryside. The first morning waking up we were able to observe with our 3 kids a squirrel in the trees facing the conservatory and the parent bedroom. Amazing light and sunsets sitting and eating in the conservatory. Access to the cottage by car is ok directly lower from the road and a large private car park is available next to the cottage. The cottage location is ideal to plan visits and walks around it, in the Peak District and not far from Manchester and Liverpool as well. The only thing lacking was a dish-washer as we are a family of five but we have bypassed it by sharing with the kids friendly moments of wiping glasses, plates and cutlery.

    No access to cottage by car. Steep drive way to parking space and 50 meter walk to cottage. Great views, would be better without the trees blocking it. The cottage needs modernising. Made the most of our stay and Monkey Forest well worth the visit.
