Very nice cottage, clean. Very steep stairs but daily exercise using them. A welcome pack would have been nice after a long drive. Enjoyed the break.

The cottage is lovely to see on first arrival, it's very bijou and quaint, clean, warm and the owner was welcoming but it is not small children or average sized human being friendly. The pitfalls of the bijou and quaint are uneven paths and steps to fall on and low doorways, ceiling beams and near vertical stairs to continually bump your head, knees, elbows on. As a central location for visiting the local landmarks and places of interest it served very well indeed and it was peacefully quiet in the evening. The cottage was also well equipped for cooking the family meals after a long day sightseeing. Although we ultimately enjoyed our vacation Laurel Cottage is not a destination I would pick again.

Fab cottage. Very cosy and homely. Love the log fire. All that you need within walking distance. Enjoyable stay.

The cottage looked a bit tired and needs a kick of paint a change of curtain that sort of thing. The only other thing was the shower broke and I had to have a bath instead (I prefer a shower on a morning to drawing a bath personal preferance) shower broke on Thurs we left the Sat.

Very small cottage with very steep and twisting stairs. Not suitable for those with limited movement and older people as the stairs are difficult to navigate at night as the bathroom is downstairs. The cottage was clean and tidy, but we felt that the back garden would look much better with a tidy up as it was rather overgrown.

A generally good time as this cottage is in a great central location in Kent with access to Sevenoaks, Tenterden, Bodiam, Rye and Camber. The cottage was a nice old style, but some equipment was a bit tired. Comfy bed, but could do with blinds as I was woken up at 5am every morning by the mid-May sun.

Lovely little cottage full of charm. I feel may be a little cramped for three adults however a family may be ok. The shower head could do with being replaced as it sprayed everywhere and leaked all over the bathroom but apart from that minor inconvenience everything else was fine. Perfect location for exploring Kent. Had a great holiday.

A nice little cottage in a beautiful area, very good value for money with food shops not far away.

On arrival, the cottage was nice and clean and well aired. Driving into the parking area is a little tight as it fronts a narrow road. Inside the cottage was nice and cosy very comfortable. Steep stairs, last step Very steep which could be remedied by putting another step at the bottom. I was lucky that I brought my collapsible stool which doubled as an extra step and this made a great difference. Shops, fish and chip shop (lovely chips), Chinese take-away and Pizza/kebab also convenience stores very near - also pub. Overall, the cottage needs just needs a little more TLC. The garden needs a complete revamp. These are suggestions rather than criticisms as this historic cottage is very quaint. Would definitely return.
