The cottage is comfy and cosy with good facilities and comfortable beds. It's on a farm, so there are sheep and dogs about but it was nice to watch the farm work happening. On arrival, the cottage wasn't very clean. There was dust, crumbs on surfaces and clumps of dog hair on the rug. After i'd cleaned the place myself, I started to feel settled in. The hot tub was great and appeared well maintained and clean. There are great views from both the bedroom window and back garden. There's nothing close by but the village centre is about 5 mins away by car and has 2 convenience stores and a couple of take aways. The location of the cottage is good for exploring the surrounding area and a trip to Largs and the ferry to great cumbrae is definitely worth a go. Auchentoshan distillery is great and very reasonable and there are some beautiful drives and scenery within easy reach. The cottage, with a little tlc could be really lovely. Small details let the overall feel of the place down, such as broken wardrobe doors, ill fitting curtains, no welcome information and loose plinths in the kitchen. All in all, we had a lovely holiday and would probably return if we were to head to this area again

Overall Litle Arches is a nice place to stay if you want to be away of everything in a comfortable homely place with nice working Wi-Fi, nice hot-tub in a patio that looks great for the all family to relax, including the dogs, if the weather allows. You feel very cosy. Owners available when needed and around the area, near the loch or the nature reserve, a lot of walks where you can take dogs off the lead in a responsible way. Few little issues: 6 for cleanliness as some accumulation of dust here and there but nothing too serious, major issue for us was the excessive amount of accumulated grease in the filters of the cooking fume hood. Only 7 for comfort and equipment because the kitchen needs some new cooking pots and a dishwater would make all sense as we were cooking a lot and spent a lot of time washing dishes. And also a BBQ would complete the scenery. Considering you are on a farm by choice I can't give less than 7 for local amenities, there is a Spar in town, restaurants, takeaways. And interesting places to visit and go in a 20-30min drive around the place. Would return

A good location and very quiet. We really enjoyed the hot tub. However, we did feel that the cottage had a few things that we were disappointed in. The bathroom door would not open fully as it caught on the floor. The wardrobe doors were not to the standard we would expect - they did not slide properly and one decorative strip had come off making the wardrobe appear very uncared for.

NEEDS A BIT OF TLC AND SOME PEOPLE MIGHT BE SHOCKED OF ITS LOCATION IN A FARM.FROM FARMING BACKGROUND SO NOT BOTHERED OURSELVES.IN THE COMMENTS BOOK ,THE LOCK ON THE FRONT DOOR WAS AN ONGOING ISSUE WHICH DIED A DEATH WHEN WE WERE THERE.HAD TO JAM THE DOOR WITH SOME 3X2 AND HAD TO TAKE VALUBLES WITH US DURING THE DAY.

Little Arches is a very cosy wee cottage and the hot tub is great. Its on a working farm which was different but its quite quiet. I took my dogs and they enjoyed it too, back garden is fenced in and there are great walks nearby.

Had an amazing time, hot tub was fabulous on a cold night looking at the stars. Not much around but to be expected if you want a peaceful getaway in the countryside. There are some local takeaways near by which deliver. Short drive to Glasgow and just over one hour to Edinburg.

Very comfortable cottage for a week. In the middle of a working farm as described in the website so no real views however Hot pool is a nice asset. Just a short drive to 2 country parks and RSPB reserve, so great for walking and for the dogs. Great cycle paths from Lochwinnoch too. Good location with the coast a short drive away and Glasgow in the other direction. Comfortable lounge and very comfortable king size bed. Wifi worked well. Only cons were kitchen pans (especially frying pans) which had seen better days and we struggled with the electric shower being rather weak. We would definitely book to go back.
