Place very dated patio overgrown and wobbly flags, the whole house, bedding linen and towels smelled of cigarette smoke.

Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The owners were very helpful and the cottage was very well equiped with everything you could want.

It's a great little cottage very spacious inside. One of the main highlights about it would be the fireplace and the pub 30secs away. The owners were very friendly and their dogs. The only bad points about it would be, the bed needs to be bigger along with the shower. And a little updating the interior. Apart from that everything was amazing and my gf loved it for her birthday. If you try to order take out their are only 2 that will deliver. One of them we drove to, it's literally a storage container with utilities and does not look clean.

The cottage is located in a lovely village, with a pub within a 2 minute walk, great for days out by the sea and the Yorkshire countryside. This cottage has a lot of potential, however it is quite dark and dingy. On the first night I discovered it to be quite dirty in places, black mould is the shower and shower tray, thick dirt, dust and tissues behind the bed and the cooker hood was thick with grease. I asked for these areas to be cleaned while we were out on the 2nd day and when we got back they were. However the cottage would benefit from a deep clean, new bed linen, and better cutlery and glasses in the kitchen. Over all it seems as though it has not been updated since the 70’s. We rented the cottage for 4 nights but decided to depart a day early for some home comforts.

Really warm welcome , including a real fire.... and the owner around to help if needed without being intrusive. Washing machine and wifi are a definite bonus.. good location too, reaally peacefull.

Lovely comfortable, well-equipped cottage. Particularly enjoyed the real fire! The owner was very welcoming and helpful. Only downside was that the local pub (just a few yards away!) didn't serve food. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would certainly stay here again.

Great cottage in a good location for local touring. Easy to local seaside towns; York and lots of interesting historical buildings. Would benefit from a King Size bed!

When I walked into the cottage there was a dank smell which never went. The furniture in the photos is not the sofa in the cottage the one there is old and looks dirty. There are cob webs on the walls and ceiling everywhere. Dust on work tops and crumbs by the toaster. The bedding was years old and wasn't very fresh. The towels smelt of damp. There were ash trays inside the cottage and outside the front door there was a bucket with fag butts inside. The whole place needs a total make over and a good deal clean, this could be a very nice place if it had some care and stop people smoking there.

This cottage could be made very nice, if it had a much needed makeover . It needs decorating throughout and Stop people smoking in it . We did enjoy our holiday because we like Yorkshire and the area but it would have been much better if the cottage was CLEAN! !

Great coal/log fire. Spacious and quiet. Most domestic amenities in place. Parking good, nice grounds. Would happily stay here again.

A comfortable and well equipped cottage (WIFi now working) with easy parking and a good location for visiting the Wolds, the North York Moors or the coast. The village is rather dull and the pub very down at heal but there are very good pubs to the north of the village. Very helpful owner living on site although the main bedroom is rather close to his house's patio for privacy.
