Absolutely fantastic place to stay. This is our second visit and one of the best cottages we have stayed in. The view from the cottage across the water is wonderful and so peaceful. It is about a 30 minute drive from Oban where you can pick up supplies with all the main supermarkets etc and also book trips etc. Last year we did the Oban Distillery which is great and several islands like Easbach and Luing. This year we did the 3 isles trip to Mull, Staff and Iona. A great trip that was worth the money and the long day just to see the Puffins. Also went to Kerrera from Oban and had a lovely walk. Misty Isles is a great base to explore the islands and Highlands but with the added bonus of a sea view and a hot tub away from the hustle and bustle of Oban. We absolutely love it and will be back. The cottage is well fitted out and now benefits from a phone and wifi if you do want to keep in touch with the outside world! The little shop 2 miles down the road is also great - the best smoked salmon in the world. Thanks again Kirsty for a wonderful time! We hope to be back next year as there is still much to explore!

Lovely cottage for 2 in a beautiful location. This was our 4th visit, although we hadn’t been for a few years, we were so pleased to return to see it was as lovely as we remembered, perfect to relax and enjoy or a base to get out and explore the area. WiFi is a great addition since our last stay. It really helps with holiday planning. Locals as friendly and welcoming as ever, great pub next door. We were sad to leave, but hopefully will return again soon.

The cottage is lovely with beautiful view of the sea. Hot tub is very nice. The cottage is small although all you need is supplied. We didn't like the bed as it was high and mattress was sunk into a wooden frame. When we visited there was nothing open other than the pub next door which did sell lovely meals for Lunch or dinner. The road getting to the cottage is mainly single track and the bridge over the Atlantic has a blind summit which was scary. Unfortunately the weather was not great therefore walking was limited and didn't even think about the short boat trip to the next island of Easdale. The cottage and the pub next door have wi-fi but there is no signal for your mobile. If you are looking for a delightful little cottage with tremendous view and complete solitude this is the cottage for you. The owner is very nice and always on hand if needed.

A gem of a cottage with views to die for, we loved it. It was cosy and comfortable and had all the things we would look for (including wifi now which was a nice surprise). We would definitely love to return. The hot tub is a real bonus and we spent our evenings stargazing and staring in wonder at an almost full moon. We felt really lucky to have chosen to come so far West when the rest of the Britain was under a snow drift! We pnly saw the odd flurry and had mostly blue sky and sun. Even at the time of year we came our electric charge was only £22 for the 4 night. The hot tub stays on all the time, we obviously had heating on when we were in the cottage during the day and evenings and cooked 3 out of 4 nights, so pretty good value we felt. The 4th night we ate at the Oyster and it was a total novelty to have a pub right next door as it was (we live in the Highlands ourselves and usually have quite a hike to the pub!). The locals were really friendly and gave us lots of ideas for things to do. All in all a lovely relaxing few days where real life was suspended and we were able to defrag and recharge. A real find and friends of ours who saw some of the pictures we were posting have now booked to come in July. Easy to recommend this one, though we kind of don't want the whole world to know either! ;-)

My partner and I stayed at Misty isles cottage for a quiet break away over the new year, having recently returned from Thailand. We fell in love with this cottage and it's incredible views across the sea. Not only did we have a pub next door, we had our own private hot tub out the back, overlooking the view. Superb. The island is a hidden gem. The locals were very friendly, not only did we get invited to a ceildh on our first night of arrival, but we also got invited out for new year, so lucky to be greeted by friendly faces. News years day we didn't even leave the cottage as we were feeling sorry for ourselves, it was totally acceptable to just sit and watch the view, and the sky as it changed throughout the day. The Oyster Bar next door, were very welcoming and served a good pub meal, perfect after walking all those miles. Thank you Kirsty for allowing us to stay in your perfect Misty Cottage! Not much in the way of local amenities but that was why we chose this cottage. Expensive for what it was but suspect that was down to the hot tub. When paying so much for a cottage I would expect electricity to be included especially in the depth of winter where there is no central heating therefore having to rely on electric fan heaters for warmth.

Lovely cottage situated in a historic village with amazing views out to sea and the adjoining isles. The cottage is perfect for that romantic holiday for 2 with the hot tub the icing on the cake. The locals are very friendly and made us feel right at home among them. We will be back in the summer for longer to enjoy more of the island delights.

The local area is stunning, cottage well stocked and the facilities are wonderful - clean and large hot tub, well equipped kitchen, en suite bathroom, and the owner is phenomenally fair and thoughtful - prosecco left for us and hot tub prepared to jump straight in to. Staying again feb 2018, and potentially again in 2018 if possible. Cannot recommend enough

Fantastic cottage with everything we wanted for a relaxing quiet time. Views and hot tub are fantastic. Doesn't have wifi or any phone signal but this didn't bother us and you have to pay for electric used although ours was only £24 for a week. Already booked for next year.

A hidden piece of Paradise , we loved this little cottage, with its amazing views over the water, once you close the front door , the rest of the world disappears . It was perfect for two of us and our dog loved it too. The hot tub was an added bonus which we really loved too.
