Really nice cottages, lovely location, a short walk from the village with pubs and restaurants. I organised a group of friends to stay here over new years. Well equipped, some of the sofas could be a bit more comfortable. My one reservation - and why I wouldn't stay there again is - it's not clear when you book - but they ask for a £100 cash deposit prior to your stay. During the holiday some of my friends were fiddling with the blinds trying to access the conservatory. After the holiday I called to find out why my deposit had not been returned, it turned out they had somehow accidentally damaged the blind and therefore lost my deposit. I'd much rather some kind of cost was included in the main charge for these kind of costs, as that way I would have shared the full cost between us all, as it was as the organiser of the trip I loose my deposit. So my tip would be - book the cottage, it's lovely - but budget in loosing your deposit!

A lovely place to stay with friends and family - we stayed for my mum’s 70th birthday so ages ranged from 5 months to 70. The house is well equipped and in a lovely location. You can walk into Loddon in 5 minutes which is really handy. The whole of Norfolk is within easy reach which makes it a great base for exploring. The house itself was clean although a few of the kitchen items needed a wash before use, but that would be down to the previous visitors not the owners. There is ample parking (probably up to four or five cars), plenty of seating in the living area (which really makes a difference!) and although there were 10 of us we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. We all agreed that it was fantastic value and we’d like to go back in warmer months to take advantage of the lovely conservatory and garden seating areas. Highly recommended.

If you're looking for a peaceful break away this is for you. Spacious cottage with stunning gardens. A variety of things to to on your doorstep and a vast amount of things to do a short car ride away. Very helpful, pleasant host 😊

Very good cottage let down by lack of attention to kitchen cleaning. Also difficult to cater for 10 people with such a small cooker. Outside spaces would have benefitted from more attention. Outside wooden chair collapsed when sat on. Was rotten in parts. Luckily only minor injuries were sustained.

Really enjoyable break. The cottage was perfect for our stay, just a few minutes walk from the river and the centre of Loddon.

House setting was lovely and the size of rooms gave a sense of space even when 10 people were present. The cleanliness of the of the kitchen in particular was not up to the standard which one would expect of a property with this price tag. The cooker was grubby with a black oily deposit around the hob, the oven had not been cleaned for some time, it was also too small to cater for ten people. The outside seating areas were in need of some TLC.

Moles acre is a large house set in beautiful country side, ideal for an extended family gathering. That said I found it to be overpriced. One of the reasons we chose Moles Acre was due to the disabled access/facilities as my father is disabled and needs ground floor facilities. We found some detachable grab handles in the ensuite shower room but no other adaptions for the disabled, neither were there any instructions as to where we might find any adaptions to make life easier for my father. On the last evening there I opened the cupboard door underneath the stairs and found a raised toilet seat with surround that would of made life so much easier for Dad. A note left on this cupboard would of been so useful. Again with bearing in mind the elderly or less infirm I found a lot of the furniture to be on the low side and difficult for both of my parents to get up from. There were a lot of notes telling you what you cannot do, but no helpful instructions for use of the appliances and there was a distinct lack of bowls suitable for use in a microwave. Also we felt that the garden furniture was in need of sprucing up. This may sound as though I am picking at little things but we paid just under £1,000 in June( so not even at the height of the season) for 4 nights so I do feel that all standards should be tiptop.

Our third visit, the last in 2012, and we were pleased to be able to organise a large enough family group to enable us to return again. Some notable changes since last time were the smart new porch and the refurbished kitchen, but the star of the show was the beautiful new conservatory. The views over the garden (also noticeably developed since last time) and the surrounding countryside are lovely so it's a great place to relax for a while before /after a busy day exploring the many attractions of the surrounding area. The location of the property is perfect, being quiet and secluded yet just a short walk down the footpath that passes the top of the drive and you are in Loddon with its good selection of pubs and restaurants. If you have a big family group then this is the ideal choice as, even when fully occupied, it never feels overcrowded. Highly recommended.
