Following the coastline from Cardigan all the way to Tenby, it’s the spectacular coastal scenery that makes this National Park so special. The National Park is divided into four sections: the rugged cliffs of south Pembrokeshire, the wooded estuaries of Daughleddau, the sandy beaches of St. Bride’s Bay and the wild Preseli Hills. With such a variety of landscape, there’s something here for everyone. The area is important for wildlife – you can see puffins and peregrine falcons and, if you’re lucky, grey seals and even dolphins. Take a boat to the deserted islands of Ramsey and Skomer, or explore the ancient hillforts that dot the countryside. And then there’s the beautiful city of St. Davids. It may be our smallest city, but the cathedral here is quite wonderful.
