Stayed here from 29th to 6th October for a family get together, 5 adults & 3 dogs. It's a lovely warm house with a well equipped kitchen, ideal for entertaining with its large dining room table, large comfy lounge & the conservatory has views to die for. The sheep walking past the bottom of the garden was a bit of a worry as 2 our dogs are pups so supervion in the garden was a must. The garden is big and wraps around the house, with 2 benches/tables . We would definitely stay at this house again, lovely peaceful place to unwind 😍

We enjoyed our stay here and it was well equipped and clean.. the only constructive criticism for the owner to consider are that it states dog friendly but dogs are not allowed to run freely in gardens, this could easily be rectified with a fenced area if only in back garden. The lighting is very dim in lounge and dining room, the lampshades mask the bulbs. Finally the downstairs ensuite would benefit from a handrail in shower for the disabled occupant. Overall beautiful cottage in great location.

Lovely location and good quality house. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Penrhyn, fabulous views, log burner, nice grass areas for the kids and dogs. Only improvement would be decent Wifi (but appreciate this is not possible) and some more comfortable outdoor and conservatory seating. Would recommend!

This is NOT a dog friendly cottage, it allows dogs but you can't let them of lead even in the garden to do their toilet in the middle of the night. The whole place is a little bit shabby! draws with no handles, shelf brackets with no shelf (would have come in handy to put toiletries on in a bathroom). Have to admit though when we had no water one night they were very quick in rectifying it the morning after, although I had to phone the owner as the caretaker no longer works for them, but did say she would phone the dad to try and assist us, (very nice lady) but I don't know why I was given her number. all in all nice place, just needs the grounds securing we couldn't even have a BBQ without tethering the dogs to the table (not a very nice thing to have to do in your own dog friendly home) and a little bit of tlc would come in useful.

Great location, amazing views, adjacent to the Wales coastal path, five minutes to beach. And it gets better! Well appointed kitchen, beautiful dining room, intimate yet spacious sitting room with comfortable furniture throughout. Rear garden great for the dogs, and the little children played at the front garden. Downside: fridge too small with seven people needing to be fed. Rattling doors throughout disturbing sleep. Would go back like a shot though.

Great holiday in a fantastic location. Very well equipped cottage which we had a lovely time in. Thank you. Only improvements I would like to have had was a fenced off back garden for my three little dogs to enjoy without being on a lead all the time due to sheep and location. Would definitely visit again, maybe later this year 👍.

Went as part of a group of 6 people and all of us loved it. Was a little tentative due to some recent reviews, but looks as though the new owners have taken this on board. Plenty of toilet role provided! Bread, local butter, milk ready and waiting in the fridge. Lots of animals in the surrounding area and a nice 10 minute walk to the beach. Beautiful views and the freshest of air! Despite the neighbouring stables, you still feel nice and isolated, the dogs are a little yappy, but you can't hear them when inside. Place was very tidy but could have been a little cleaner. All mod cons including dishwasher tablets which was very helpful. Short drive into Porthmadog where I'd encourage a visit to the local butcher, brewery (Australia pub) and Little Rock for amazing baked goods and breakfast. Fantastic break.

Wonderful location and superb views! Accomodation is tired inside and does not do any justice with outside of the property! Disappointed with cleanliness of Carpets and kitchen appliances. Had issues with the spare bed (pretty useless) and in general it mattresses on all beds were springy!

Great location with terrific views. We had an enjoyable family reunion at Penrhyn. The kitchen could be better equipped for a 4* property and not much of a feel of being welcomed as we normally experience with cottage rentals (nothing personalised, no welcome pack, no starter items (e.g. dishwasher detergent) and one mainly used up toilet roll in a large house isn't great. There was no wood for the fire as stipulated and we'd searched and booked specifically based on real fire so that was a disappointment on first night as there are no shops near and we arrived in the evening in a rain storm. There were bulbs not working and the couple of spares didn't cover the gaps. Description could make it clearer that there are stables and a mobile home adjacent to the plot. We thought it was remote but it's not.
