Terrible service upon reaching the cottage already reported. Please don't treat future guests as we were treated.

We enjoyed the garden for catching the late afternoon sun after a strenuous day out.

A clean, welcoming and gorgeous cottage with a modern and well equipped kitchen. Whilst there are no immediate local amenities, most things are a short drive away.

We loved the cottage. However, not enough starting fuel (4 logs). After a 6 hour journey we didn't expect to go out hunting for logs for the fire.

It was like going back in time in this lovely cottage with antique décor, yet modern kitchen. The real fire was stunning and set the scene for our weekend away. The scenery from the bedrooms was inspiring and the location is ideal to access all areas of Wale's. Highly recommend a stay here.

Great holiday, lovely location. House had lots of good points, though a little tired. Will stay again in North Wales but may try somewhere else, if only for a change, especially something a little bigger.

A quirky but charming, cosy cottage in a great location for enjoying the Snowdonia National Park. The owners and caretaker clearly work hard to look after the cottage and to provide all that is needed for visitors. My stay was in winter and comments reflect visiting during shorter days that were sometimes quite grey. As others have commented, by its nature the cottage is a little dark and whilst the owners have clearly done their best to add lighting it was still quite difficult to find a place where it was possible to sit and read in the evening or on a gloomy wet day. The sitting room has a cosy feel and an open fire but unless the door is left open, causing a draught, smoke gets into the room. Thoughtfully an effective electric heater is also provided. The modern bathroom with a decent shower is downstairs off the kitchen and some may find this inconvenient during the night. The kitchen is very well equipped, the dishwasher being especially welcome and I thought is was a good sign of the attention to detail of the owners to find a sufficient supply of dishwasher tablets on hand. The cottage is situated on a minor road that can at times carry some fast moving traffic and I was initially worried about parking outside, but actually had no problems during the week I stayed. Overall, I enjoyed my stay in a beautiful part of Wales. I appreciated the owners and caretaker's welcome and efforts to help guests make the most of their stay. It is clear that they have responded positively to feedback about previous issues doing their best to improve the guest experience. I'll remember the welcome bottle of wine, starter pack of wood for the fire, and personal touches throughout. Thanks.

    Wonderful stay!

Good holiday, in spite of the rain. Cottage was comfortable and very well equipped. Flowers and bottles of wine on arrival were much appreciated. The open fire in the living room made the room warm and cosy. The only complaint was the dim lighting in the living room and dining room. Even with the 3 lights on in the living room, it was difficult to read a newspaper and virtually impossible to read maps, when trying to plan the next day's walks. Brighter lighting in the living room would have justified an overall rating of 10.
