Located between the beautiful National Park and the Heritage Coast, all have fine country views and offer an ideal year-round holiday base. The market town of Alnwick with its acclaimed castle and gardens is just 10 miles away and it is just a 20-minute drive to Northumberland’s coastline with its beautiful beaches, historic castles and charming fishing villages. Dene House Farm’s facilities are excellent and are just ideal for those wanting to enjoy a spa break or take advantage of the farm’s excellent Health Club: facilities include free use of a heated indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, archery and tennis. For an extra charge you can treat yourself to a pamper day or any of the holistic and beauty treatments. The more energetic can book a personal instructor and make use of the well equipped gym or join in at one of the classes ranging from pilates to zumba followed by a relaxing visit to the licensed coffee bar. The pretty town of Rothbury and Cragside House (NT) are worth a visit and the cosmopolitan city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne with its fine architecture and superb shopping is just 30 minutes’ drive.
