Sandmartins is a lovely bungalow in a charming location. It could have been an ideal holiday cottage for everyone, but I feel there is a serious safety issue. The mobile phone reception was non-existent and there was no land-line. Our party of three was using three major network providers, none of which had coverage there. The severity of the situation was brought to light on our arrival when my 80 year old husband had a fall and was not able to get up by himself. We were not able to contact anyone by phone. Fortunately it was Saturday afternoon and I managed to alert two kind neighbours who came and helped. But it could have turned much more serious.

Overall, we enjoyed the stay, good spot to be, good size, loved conservatory which we spent most time in. Garden really good for grandchildren and dog. Disappointed that so many of the plates had chips in them. Cutlery drawer needed cleaning out and would think that for multi use it should be lined with something washable. Also kettle could do with de scaling. In shower it could all do with a good bleaching of tiles and nooks and crannies of base and also clean the shower head. Double bed felt small after a king size at home and was much too soft that even hubby didn't sleep well and he can usually sle ep anywhere. If these things were dealt with would love to stay again as it is in such a nice area. Oh and no WiFi.

Lovely location, very nice well equipped bungalow. Good walks in the area, also had short drive to Horsey windmill and then walk over the dunes to see the seals. Some info on local walks and footpaths paths would have been helpful. Excellent food and drink at the Lighthouse inn.

A great little bungalow in a great location. The bungalow was really well equipped there wasn't anything that it didn't have. My son loved the conservatory to play in and the garden is also great for children. The owners left us eggs which we used for breakfast. The log fire was great with one free bag of logs (we stayed Easter weekend hence chilly in the evenings). We went on lots of walks along the beach which is very near to this property. The lighthouse is amazing (a must visit if you stay here). The only thing I would change about this bungalow is to include the winter heating in with the cost of the rental, which cost us enough for this weekend (hence the high school holiday charges which applies to every holiday). The owner knocked on the door to ask us for the money for the heating. I would also add Wifi to the property (I didn't read that it had no wifi as most places do and my partner was not happy with me because he needed it for work who never leave him alone whoops). But overall a great stay/weekend.
