Cardiff, the capital of Wales, is a lively place, benefiting from substantial regeneration in recent years. Here you’ll find the magnificent Cardiff Castle, fully restored in the 19th century to create an ornate mansion. Also in Cardiff, the National Museum of Wales features a fine collection of impressionist art, while sports fans should head for the Millennium Stadium, where there are daily tours for visitors. Swansea is also within easy reach of our holiday cottages in Glamorgan and the Valley Region. Attractions here include the Swansea Museum (the oldest in Wales) and the Dylan Thomas Centre. The regenerated Maritime Quarter is also well worth a visit.

Heading west from Swansea, you come to the Mumbles, the charming gateway to the famous Gower Peninsula. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is renowned for its many fabulous beaches and wonderful views.
