The major draw here is the North York Moors National Park, a wide expanse of heather covered moors and lush green valleys. The area around Goathland (featured in TV’s Heartbeat) is a particular favourite with walkers. Make sure you take a ride on the scenic North York Moors Railway during your stay in one of our holiday cottages in the Yorkshire Moors and Coast.

The coastline here is one of dramatic cliffs and sandy bays. Scarborough is the largest resort here and still attracts a large number of visitors in search of some seaside fun. Further north is unspoilt Robin Hood’s Bay, with its steep cobbled streets and the old town of Whitby. The famous Abbey here featured in Bram Stoker’s Dracula novel. Inland, the picturesque village of Hutton-le-Hole is well worth visiting, as is the old market town of Pickering, gateway to the North York Moors. Read more »
