Not to be missed is the Eden Project, a fascinating recreation of different biospheres, featuring a wide variety of exotic plantlife. You should also make time for a trip to atmospheric St. Michael’s Mount and on to Land’s End, the most westerly point in England. The county town of Truro has a lovely cathedral and some excellent shopping opportunities, while Penzance is a bustling resort, famed for its warm weather and sub-tropical plants. And do make sure you sample the pasties, saffron cake and clotted cream – all local delicacies, – during your cottage holiday.
