A real gem. Peaceful retreat with fantastic views, extremely comfy bed, log fire and a home from home. It was equipped to a high standard with everything that you could possibly need. The location was beautiful and two restaurants with in walking distance provided some delicious meals. Lovely walks and destinations or a perfect place to sit and relax. A local shop for essentials would have made it perfect but the drive along the valley was lovely and the Spar shop had everything.

Comfortable barn conversion in a beautiful location. However, don't really think it warrants a grade 5 comparing it with other cottages we have stayed in. Not even a pint of milk left in the 'fridge! Patio doors not very clean, smell of damp in entrance porch, verandah fencing looks like wooden pallet boards had been used.

Beautiful little place to stay. It was ideal for 2 people. The bed was very comfortable and the en suite had a very powerful shower. The kitchen was very well equipped. Plenty of instruction books for the cooker, dishwasher etc. The outlook was pretty, it is in the bottom of a valley with hills all around. Some roads narrow so care is needed. It has a patio off the upstairs living- kitchen area which is sunny most of the day. " Two excellent eating pubs in the village.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Two hotels in the village, with welcoming atmosphere we ate at both during our stay, would recommend either but our favourite was the Hand. Cottage was handy for visiting National Trust properties and other tourist attractions. Cottage was well equipped and the views from the balcony over the valley were a bonus. Would stay again.

The Coach House was beautiful, we loved that the Lounge and Kitchen were upstairs as the view from the Lounge window was absolutely stunning. The Kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need. Lovely bedroom with a very comfy bed, the bathroom had an amazing powerful shower and everywhere was beautifully appointed, we couldn't have wished for anything nicer, the owner of the property rang us on the Sunday and was extremely helpful suggesting places to visit and also advised us that the lady wasnt due to clean until the Tuesday morning and so there was no rush to leave on the Monday, which was extremely nice of him. The Property also has an added advantage in that it is situated in a small village with 2 pubs within a minutes walk, we had a lovely meal in the Hand and would highly recommend. We stayed over the May Day Bank holiday, and were very lucky with the weather as there are gorgeous walks and lots of lovely places to visit within a short distance. We have recommended it to all our family and friends and can't wait to go back!

Beautiful location, however, fairly isolated I would imagine, for some people. Fabulous views from the cottage. Cleanliness very good, but I would point out that the kitchen windowsills could have had a bit more attention. A very well equipped kitchen, just one negative for this particular area, some extra lighting needed. Plug in, under cupboard LED lighting quite inexpensive to purchase would be ideal for this area, lots of electric sockets so no need for any electrical work to be carried out. Lovely owners of whom we had the opportunity to meet during our stay. Our third visit to the Coach House and we will definitely return.

Beautiful location and lovely views from cottage. Lovely, very well equipped cottage. Very comfortable bed and powerful shower. Great to have a wood burning stove and good to be able to purchase more wood from owner's wood store using honesty box- would recommend bringing kindling and fire lighters to help start the fire. Very much appreciated the owners calling us to check everything was ok after storm Doris! Wifi cut out after storm but we weren't there to look at the internet. For o2 users no phone signal but other types work and there is a phone you can use in the cottage which is very useful if you don't like being cut off. We had a wonderful time and plan to book another week there as soon as we can

Great location, great views, place was very clean and well equipped, local pubs where friendly and welcoming, with great food. Didn't do much in the way of activities/sightseeing as had already driven 250miles and this was a short break in January. Even so it was lovely, to enjoy piece and quiet and just unwind after a hectic year. Waking early and taking my coffee out onto the raised deck to watch the dawn break was quite magical with nothing but the sound of a stream and some birds.
