First of all let me say, we absolutely loved our stay at The Elms! It was so peaceful, a great little getaway for our family including the dog! There is a stream running about 10m in front of the lodge, and about 100m walk up the path is a pond- both great for attracting lovely wildlife. The lodge was really clean, well set out, and the kitchen had all the bits and bats we needed for the weekend. We had a lovely welcome pack on arrival; bread, tea, coffee, milk, wine, washing up liquid, which we thought was a nice touch. A travel cot was also provided for us (there was no mattress with it but we folded up one of the single duvets which worked fine). There were also towels provided, but one thing to note is that there was no hand soap in either of the bathrooms, so bring your own! We can't thank Arthur enough for looking after us, what a great guy! One small downside was that you can hear the traffic from the nearby dual carriage way, however we didn't notice it until late at night when we had turned the TV off and we were really quiet.. even then it didn't really bother us. Overall, a great place to stay and we'll definitely be coming back soon!!
