We had a lovely stay at the Mill which is full of character. The building is old and quirky which creates a lovely atmosphere especially in front of the fireplace. We would come again and recommend.

The mill is looking tired and could do with renovating.

Nice cottage but you need to be careful on the stairs as they are not even, level and a bit slippery (but then it is an old place and is to be expected). It was very interesting to be able to look at the old mill workings still in place. We stayed for a weekend break on 14th December 2017 and there wasn't any festive decorations...which was disappointing as it was December, I understand that most cottages do not have a tree with lights as could be a hazard...but come on just a few festive ornaments would have been nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay at The Mill.

An enjoyable holiday in peaceful surroundings. The downstairs bathroom does not have a shower attachment and the stove needs replacing as several top rings did not work. It would have been nice to have a welcome pack .

In its current condition the Mill is tired looking and lacks attention to detail. There is no telephone so given the property's remote location where there is also no mobile phone coverage it makes it very isolated. We weren't expecting 5 star luxury accommodation but travelling with a 5 month old baby and finding the cot openly stored in the mill wheelhouse was very off putting. As was the mould on the plastic draining board, the mangled rotary clothes line and the rubbish we found in the bathroom bin from previous guests. All in all, the mill offers basic accommodation in a remote yet peaceful location. We hadn't appreciated just how isolated the mill was and that you couldn't realistically walk to any local amenities.

Let me be honest. This is not the Ritz. If you want prestine, modern facilities and WI- FI keep searching. If you are seeking a charming, cosy and extraordinary holiday home with secrets at every turn you must consider The Mill. It is in accessible location but you feel miles away from anywhere. We are planning out next trip! Just one thing: if you think you will need one, take a tin opener ☺
