Had great holiday and was overall very pleased with the property. However, there were a few things that have been overlooked; such as some of the mattresses need to be replaced and the toilet flush in the bathroom is a bit temperamental. This did not spoil the holiday though and I will definitely recommend the property to others!

Perfect family gettaway. Tesco’s delivered all our food half hour after arrival and we then relaxed for the rest of the week. We used the park & ride into shrewsbury, went on local works, kids loved the games room/ the self of books, games and toys. Perectly equipt for large group or family and couldn't fault the place. Very homely.

This is a superb property. It is equipped with everything needed to make it comfortable and visitor- friendly. The games room is a real bonus and the village is within a mile of a splendid pub, The Nag's Head. Pontesbury also boasts a fish and chip shop, and an Indian and a Chinese restaurant. There were three generations of our family there on and off for a week and we all had a fabulous time. If you have to book in the school holidays which we did, it is a tad expensive but out of those dates, I would say it is excellent value for money.

This was our 2nd visit to Plealey, previously we stayed in Shipppn Cottage but we needed a larger unit this time so booked the Old Granary. First impressions were great, we walked into the huge dining room with a big dining table and then we looked in the lounge, I loved that it had enough seating for us all, there was 2 X 2 seater sofas and a 3 seater sofa which all reclined as well as a comfy armchair We loved how there were 2 seperate staircases to the upper floors which enabled us to let the children have their own space (2 beds are on the same side as the master bedroom but up yet another staircase so it still felt seperate) Master bedroom is spacious and en-suite was fine. The roller blinds on the Velux Windows could do with new fastenings though as they kept pinging open in the night My teenage daughter loved the other double room and the 2 X twin rooms were also fine Kitchen was amazingly well equipped, masses of crockery, cutlery and oven trays/casserole dishes. You could make any of your usual dishes here with ease which isn't true with other accomodations we have booked. The only thing I missed was a salad bowl but the large cereal bowl did us at a push The shared lawn was a good size and there was a picnic table plus a garden bench for al fresco dining. Due to the weather we only had one BBQ but that was fine too (sadly abandoned due to wasps visits the food though) Lots of books and games provided although some games were without instructions which was a challenge Having a washing machine and dryer meant we did mod of our laundry while we were there Games room was ok, if a little dated Location was secluded which was ok but you need a car to even nip for bread and milk (we had a food shop delivered on the first day but needed a top up) and it's 20-30 mins to the nearest big town I had originally booked this with a friend and her son who sadly could no longer make it but had already paid towards the trip, which is why I have rated value for money as a 7 as if I had be paying over £1200 just for our family of 7 for a week I did find it on the high side price wise, as lovely as it was. And could not justify returning and paying over £1200 for just us but we would love to try and come back sometime, maybe for an out of season weekend

This is a beautiful house, particularly downstairs. It is very spacious and the kitchen was very well equipped. The bathrooms are very small but that did not bother us for a week's holiday. It was exceptionally clean and although we didn't spend much time in the games room because we were out too much it was good to know it was there for a rainy day. You do definitely need a car but there are loads of places to visit within easy driving distance.

Bedrooms well set out for more than one family. Space for everybody with a quiet space for adults, if necessary! Games room a god-send too.
