• About The Stable

Tucked away at the end of a lane filled with wildflowers, in an idyllic setting below the upland beauty of the Preseli Hills, this ancient stone stable is cleverly converted to make the most of glorious views and provides a delightful holiday location. Situated on a working sheep and beef farm in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, affording easy access to lovely walking and splendid beaches. Within 10 miles, visitors to The Stable will find a wealth of sporting activities and attractions from sailing and sea trips, to art and craft galleries, and the man made excitements of Oakwood theme park. Set on a spectacular stretch of coastline, renowned for its abundant wildlife, the tiny cathedral city of St David’s is also well worth a visit. Golf and riding are within 5 miles. There are several good restaurants locally and the nearest pub is just 0.5 miles, whilst shops are 3 miles and Haverfordwest’s comprehensive facilities are only 9 miles distant.

Although there were very limited local amenities, we prefer peace and quiet which is exactly what the Stable offers, it is absolutely perfect. We would recommend it to everyone and will definitely stay again

Peter was a wonderful host and despite being a very busy farmer gave his time to tip us off on places to visit. The Cottage was impeccable and beautifully finished with everything to make the stay very comfortable. We had an exhilarating stay and this is where we would stay if we returned to this beautiful part of Wales.

The cottage was perfect for our short break in Pembrokeshire and the owner was really helpful and friendly. The rooms have been done out beautifully. The area is good for walking and bird watching. It's not too far from the coastal path and great for walks. It was a lovely relaxing break.

Cottage was better than expected. Really well equipped, very clean and maintained to a high standard. Supermarkets about a 20 minute drive other than that reasonably remote. Host was extremely welcoming and his advice on the area really did make our weekend perfect. Would definitely recommend a stay here if you're looking for some quiet time away with amazing coastal and rural locations. Literally so many things to see and do a weekend wasn't enough.

The cottage is beautiful and well equipped, ideal for a couple. Being on a working farm it was a peaceful location . It is well located to reach all the beautiful locations across Pembrokeshire. The owner lives next door and is available but leaves you in peace once he has ensured everything is to your satisfaction. All the main supermarkets can be found in the main towns and are not too far from the cottage. Local markets also sell local products and there are a number of farms near the cottage that sell their own meats and cheeses. It was our first visit to west Wales and we had a great time.
