We have a great time at the cottage. The hot tub was a fantastic feature for me the games room was a huge plus for the boys and as a family we learned the joy of fishing in the loch. Higly reccommened for a family holiday..

What a great holiday we had! Kirsty gave us a lovely welcome and the treats were very much appreciated! The house is situated in a fantastic area, close to all you could ever want. The locals were very friendly and helpful. We have never gone back to the same cottage before as we always wanted to try new places but this is one we definitely want to return to. Will live in the memory bank for a long time. Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your house Kirsty.

We've just got back from our honeymoon at tigh a vullin and can't recommend it enough. It's a perfect hideaway in an idyllic location. The cottage is modern and well laid out. It has everything you need. Kitchen has every utensil/pan/tray you would ever need. Also has dishwasher and washing machine if you're there a while. Living room has an amazing log burner which warms the whole house and very easy to use. Also has a good tv and good range of DVDs and board games if you get stuck in on a rainy day. Bathroom is modern and a really good power shower. Bedrooms are big enough and bed was comfy. Lots of storage everywhere too. Games room is so much fun, we spent an afternoon in there when it was raining and got very competitive :-) The best feature of the cottage has to be the hot tub. We were in there nearly every day. Perfect way to relax after walking all day. Ardfern itself is such a pretty village, really stunning views. The shop is only a few minutes walk (as is the pub and cafe) and stocks most thing you'd need. Carnasserie castle is only a 10 minute drive away too and would highly recommend a visit. Great to explore and amazing views from the top. Thanks so much to Kirsty for being the perfect hostess. Not intrusive but there if you needed. We go to Scotland every year and this is now our favourite place on the west side and hope to be back again :-) Thanks again for a perfect honeymoon, Katy & John xx

Cottage was beautiful, good location and very well equipped - the hot tub is a really nice feature - perhaps could have done with more towels as I like to separate out towels used for hot tub from day-to-day showering (washing machine worked but dryer didn't). The only things that stopped me giving it a 10 overall were would have been nice to have an alternative venue to eat in the evenings in the village - the pub is nice but a little bit samey and after a long day out driving I didn't want to drive anywhere else in the evening & couldn't be bothered to cook (although kitchen is well equipped too). That said the pub provides a nice atmosphere just could have done with up-dating its 'specials' board a bit more but loved the social side and meeting other 'tourists' to find out what they were up to. Overall a really good dog-friendly location.

Very good accommodation. The local shop has most items however it is expensive, there is an Aldi, Lidl and Tesco in Oban which is only 40 mins away. Suggest shop for emergency purchase. Hot tub is great, easily sits 4 adults, we used it every day after our day trips! Good food at local pub or at lord of isles at craobh haven which is an hour walk from cottage. If you love peace and quiet, long walks and beautiful views then book this cottage.

Great cottage for a family. The hot tub and the games room really made it. Decent wifi which is essential for teenagers! Although fairly remote, there was enough in the village to kee us happy, with a hotel, cafe and shop. Nicely decorated and comfortable furniture. Well equipped with books, DVDs and board games. The log burner was easy to use to.

Fabulous location, cottage had everything you could think off, including welcome fizz + chocolates- a lovely touch. The hot tub made it for us- after a long day walking + exploring this was bliss. We will be back + family are looking into it already as dogs are welcome - well behaved ones of course😜

We have been staying at Ardfern for many years, the West Coast of Scotland now being our favourite. It was our first time to stay in the High A Violin a very beautiful cottage in a very beautiful setting. The cottage had been furnished and equipped to the highest standard. with not a single thing having been forgotten to add to our comfort. The logburner used on cool evenings was a joy, and the super hot tub in the garden was just gorgeous! We had the happiest holiday and can't wait to go again!!

The cottage was well equipped clean, tidy and well presented. The owner was really helpful and friendly. The location is perfect for a break from the stressors of work. The cottage was dog friendly and the area cottage was the perfect base to go for long walks in the surrounding countryside which was beautiful. The hot tub was perfect to relieve aching muscles before relaxing in front of the wood burning fire. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return in the future. We strongly recommend a stay in this delightful cottage.
