The Royal Armouries and the industrial museum at Armley Mills are also well worth a visit during your time in the city. Visit the Bronte Parsonage in the delightful town of Haworth, take a walk across the moors that inspired “Wuthering Heights” and enjoy a pint in the pub frequented by Bramwell Bronte, black sheep of the family. Other places of interest to discover during your cottage holiday in West Yorkshire include Kirkstall Abbey, a fine example of an old Cistercian monastery, and Saltaire, the village created by Titus Salt to provide decent housing for his mill workers.
