This cottage is in an amazing setting with stunning views and peace and quiet in abundance (excluding sheep, geese and other 'country' sounds). The house is very well equipped and has an individual layout. As other reviews have said, some of the furnishings and kitchen equipment have served the house well but are coming towards the end of their useful life. One thing, if you like music, apart from the DVD player I cannot remember seeing any other players. We took a stereo and I-pod dock so this was not a problem. Notwithstanding the above, for our annual week of eating, drinking and relaxing we could not wish for more. We only left the house once by car - to stock up at Morrison's in Ross to continue our overindulgence.

2nd Visit to White Rocks. Once the teenagers got over the fact there is no wifi ! They enjoyed the whole experience and countryside. Excellent location and facilities, will definitely be going again

Fantastic setting. Wonderful views. Clean but basic. Lounge furniture needs replacing, looks and feels uncomfortable. We spent most of our time in the kitchen so shame there's not a setee in there. We put lots of extra padding on the double bed. We were there in April and the longe was too cold to relax in, but the rest of the house was lovely and warm. It's a large house, ideal for families, and well supplied with lots of things for families to do. The setting makes it worth going back for another holiday.

Booked this for the family to come together for my sons 30th. Wonderful place, gorgeous views. The dog was in seventh heaven and the kids (and adults) loved all the games. We had pool, table football and table tennis tournaments going on and a lot of fun was had by all. The remoteness adds to the charm, and to wake up to those views is totally worth it. Would definitely go again Thank you

Absolutely beautiful cottage and location and views to die for. The furniture could do with updating a little, with nicer furniture the place would get 10/10

We only stayed two nights, and it went all too soon. We want to go there again. Beautiful spacious cottage, the children (11, 9, 8, 5 and 2 y.o.) loved it. Two bedrooms are almost opposite each other separated by a short flight of stairs and one bedroom (en-suit) is in an opposite wing of the house, next to the lounge. You have the most amazing views out of the kitchen windows and are greeted by a sunrise at breakfast from your left and a sunset at dinner on your right! Remote quiet location, only sheep are your company. Very friendly neighbours, who kindly showed us the way as we arrived in pitch black at night and couldn't see the house even when we stopped right next to it! There're table tennis and darts games in a separate room. Table football and a pool table, 2 TVs (in the lounge and in the hall). The house is well equipped and had essentials, like washing up provision, bin bags, toilet paper and kitchen towels, cooking oil, salt, pepper, teas.. no sugar :-) I'd give 10* all around if the shower upstairs didn't have a bit of a leak through various holes in the joints, when put on full. It was perfectly usable in any case. The very top bedroom (under the roof) got a bit cold at night (beg of November), children complained. But overall, due to the spaciousness of the house and the amazing location, we had the most beautiful weekend away!
