The toilet was broken and making a terrible noise constantly. Having read through the guest book several people had complained about it and nothing had been done. The noise from the toilet was enough to keep us awake but there was also some kind of animal living in the ceiling making a loud scratching noise that really ruined the holiday. It sounded like it was going to come through the roof. My partner text the owner on the second night to make them aware of the situation. I told them that there was some kind of vermin living in the ceiling. They replied by telling me they don’t think it’s vermin maybe it’s squirrels. There was NO apology and the only effort made to correct the problem involved sending a bloke round 1.5 hours before we were due to check out we just came and said it was probably squirrels and called them “pesky little bleeps” My partners kids 11 and 6 were within eatrshot.. I was mortified!!

Great lodge in the middle of nowhere which was exactly what we wanted. Stunning views and lovely hot tub after a days walking. Lodge is about 2 miles from a pub but no local shop so nearest one about 3 mile away. Lodge has everything you need and was very child friendly for our 11Month old. Would have liked a welcome pack for arrival to say how to use appliances and switch on hot water etc as you have to find and work out for yourself. Owner came and seen us the following day and was very friendly. Overall a great holiday which we would certainly go on again

The lodge was lovely very clean all the amenities needed and in a lovely rural location. The only problem I had was I only stayed for 2 days and the second day the hot tub was not working , the lady who owned the lodge came out for us and was very friendly but couldn't fix the issue. We paid more for a lodge with a hot tub for 2 days and was only able to use it for half the time so I think some gesture should be offered

Just a swift Mon - Fri late Sept break. Excellent lodge and hot tub, lovely area, well designed and thought out, privacy panels by hot tub also form good wind-break.

Lovely lodge which was well stocked with all you needed for a nice getaway. The hot tub and location made it an excellent location to chill. The only slight short coming was there was no wifi and poor phone signal which effected the kids more than the adults.

We had an amazing time the only problem was the hot tub at the lodge didn't remain hot while in it. We were asked to refill after use but then took hours to reheat which meant we couldn't use it again which was disappointing :(

We had a lovely time at Woodside Lodge. All you need was there and we received a warm welcome. It is a little out of the way, which is exactly what we were looking for, so if you want to go to the shops you have to be prepared to drive. The location was brilliant and totally peaceful. The 3 lodges are a good distance apart so you are not on top of your neighbours. Would definitely recommend this place if you want to get away from it all. There was no light pollution so star gazing in the hot tub at night was amazing. The only criticism I could make is the decking all around the lodge is very slippery when it's wet or slightly frosty. All in all we had a wonderful Christmas Break.
