This is fantastic walking country, featuring the Pennine Way, the Dales Way and the Yorkshire Three Peaks walk. The area around Malham is particularly scenic, taking you past limestone gorges and glacial lakes. And don’t miss the dramatic Aysgarth Falls. Our Yorkshire Dales holiday cottages also make great bases for visiting historic sites such as Fountains Abbey, the extensive ruins of a great Cistercian abbey set in the wonderful gardens of Studley Royal. Bolton Abbey is also well worth a visit, while there is a beautifully-preserved castle in the pretty market town of Skipton.

There are some delightful villages to explore in the Yorkshire Dales, places like Burnsall and Grassington, with their disctinctive grey stone houses. Or for a touch of elegance take a trip to the spa town of Harrogate. You can even enjoy a Turkish Bath here in typically Victorian surroundings.
