The lodge is itself is just beautiful. The décor, furniture and fittings are of a high standard. I wasn't impressed with the "Christmas decorations", which consisted of a poorly decorated tree with no lights, I actually would of preferred not to have this in the lodge as it spoilt the otherwise impressive internal views. The lodge is located at the end of the park with views of the lakes and it was simply stunning, in particular at sunset. Upon arrival, I was so happy with the location of our lodge as it felt private, this opinion was soon changed however, as other visitors of the park felt the need to walk past our lodge to look at the lakes, even when we were in the hot tub, people didn't turn back (I would have personally, although I wouldn't have walked down past someone else's lodge in the first place when I knew it was occupied, turned straight back around if I saw people in the hot tub), I feel this is a shame as I had suggested coming back in the summer, however, I feel other people would impose even more at that time of year, so the privacy would be very much compromised. The size of the lodge was fabulous, it was really spacious. Despite a couple of minor things which required replacements, ie bulbs, batteries to remote controls the facilities within the lodge were brilliant and very easy to use. Not a huge amount of parking either, we only had 1 car, which was lucky, as the lodge beside us had 3 and opposite had 2, it was tight and felt really cramped, but it was New Year, so perhaps ordinarily it wouldn't have felt so busy on the car front. Overall, it was a great lodge, I would return to the park, however, I would perhaps try and occupy a more private lodge in relation to the hot tub.
