Had an amazing 5 days at Atlantic Reach with wonderful Easter weather. There were 7 of us and a dog, ranging in age from 8 to 75, and the holiday house was great, plenty of room and great bathrooms! Would highly recommend this holiday village, but it is quite a drive to get to Newquay.
Villa very clean, as was the outside area's. Good location to reach fantastic beaches, especially Watergate Bay, which was a great place for my dog to have a good run. We also ate at the Watergate Bay Hotel, and enjoyed a delicious birthday lunch, and the dog was very welcome into the restaurant where we ate which was a real surprise!
The spa staff and facility was a wonderful treat, and very reasonable.
Only criticism is, there could do with a couple dog pooh bins throughout the site for those little mishaps!
All in all great place, would visit again.
Great park, it was nice and quiet out of season.
Good pool, although on occasion closed for schools and birthday parties.
Handy to have an indoor play area for little ones.
great location and facilities
The best family resort we've been to!
Good central facilities
Overall stay was good but heating failed with promise to fix and did not return so felt let down
We had a fantastic time , the lodge was amazing and even in Feb the kids were kept busy by the activities.
Left after 20 minutes of being handed the keys. Was awful
Very nice house and in a lovely location
Surprised that reception was open so little during our stay
Although the staff were extremely efficient the accommodation had a few issues. Hot water system not turned on so cold showers on Sunday morning, beds were hard and very uncomfortable particularly upstairs, no heater in third upstairs bedroom, toaster and kettle were in need of replacement. Decor good, accommodatin roomy and plenty of shower and bathroom facilities.
We had a fantastic time and would have no hesitation in returning
Location was handy to get to the local area. But there were no pubs locally that you could walk to. Dogs are welcome on site but dog walking area right next to main road and not huge.
The fact there was no shop on site was a big let down, and we had to drive 10mins to get baby milk and food. The cafe on site had a few basics like milk and beans. I think that you should be provided with a starter pack, like a lot of other sites do. As we had travelled 300 odd miles and did not have these essentials and it was late when arrived.
