Peaceful and tranquil surroundings in a beautiful area
Fantastic break, very quiet and relaxing. would highly recommend for young family. our 2 year old boy loved the animals and the play area.
Looking to book up again
great for kids to see farm animals etc and well placed to go and visit the coast, york, beverley etc..
A fantastic find! If you want peace and quiet but not too far away from the hustle & bustle then this is the place for you. We stayed in the 3-bed caravan - centrally heated, double glazed and well equipped. The park has donkeys, alpaca, goats and hens and there is a large fishing lake, although we did not use this.
Great place especially for children. They will love the animals. If your into fishing then Great Lake. I didn't see my husband most of the day. When we did them Hornsea and Bridlington are close by and the town of Beverley very convenient with a market on Saturday. A little further and Scarborough and Whitby are a must to visit and the city of York with York Minster is great. The caravans which we stayed are nicely situated and clean. The games room great if you have a teenager but remember change for the pool table. Wifi is available and works well Lots of open country side for keen dog walkers and my dog was welcome with open arms. A nice touch was the Easter card and eggs on arrival. I have no negatives except it's next to a pig farm so the smell can be a little overwhelming but hey your in the countryside so good clean air and you do get use to it. Well done to the owners a top class establishment
Fantastic family getaway. Kids (6 & 2) absolutely loved the farm setting, the animals, the play area. Owners & staff friendly, approachable and accomodating. Fox Cottage was everything you need for a family of 4 and a perfect setting for quality days out.
Cannot wait to revisit xx
brilliant, nothing can compare to the service and friendliness of the owners
We had a wonderful weekend here. The location is fantastic. The place it's self is really lovely and the owners were so friendly and helpful. My children loved the play area and meeting all of the animals. It was just perfect. It was so peaceful and friendly. I would recommend staying here to anyone and I can not wait to go again - the kids were upset when we had to leave!
This was our second visit to Otter Cottage. having been there 12 months previously and couldn't fault it, this time it needed a bit of attention. The kettle was completely scaled so that when you poured the water it spilled everywhere. The plug on the bath was broken, the shower head would not stay in place so you had to squat under it and the shower screen didn't want to stay in place. The tea towels supplied we could not use as they smelt very bad. Good job we brought our own. The fibre optic wifi was vertually non existant which meant that our daughter who had come from uni for a family weekend could not stay as she could not do her uni work. A shame as we hadnt seen her for six weeks and we were looking forward to some family time. These are just things that we felt needed tweeking.
Perfect location for dog walking. Hornsea has excellent prom and beach. Remote from fireworks!
Absolutely fantastic, a real gem.
The Site was nice and quiet and really nice with plenty of ducks and chickens free roaming. There were other friendly animals in easy to access fields, ideal for young children.
Great location .. Very peaceful
Quite simply, excellent beyond our expectations!!! Very wam, friendly welcome, with a beautifully furnished and spacious cottage, set in a very quaint rustic farm in a secluded area of the countryside. Wonderful in all respects
The holiday park is small and quiet which was great at night. No loud music or caravaners!!! Only negative comment is as I was on a tight budget I needed to cook regularly however there was no colander for draining pasta and rice and the pans were not big enough. The smell of muck spreading was also overpowering at times and you could not open the van windows and it was a very hot period!!! But seriously...great place and lovely owners. 45 mins from York and an hour to Bridlington. Great for the kids. Lovely top notch caravans.
